Ouch. 25L/100km is definitely bad.

I guess you would start with your standard tune up items, plugs and wires. When were they last changed?

Then maybe dirty injectors or o2 sensor.

Also check for dragging brakes, proper engine temp, maybe have the actual temperature checked, instead of the gauge reading. If the engine is not warm enough, your ATX will not shift into overdrive.

Edit: Also try a lower grade fuel Unless you have an R/T pcm, (Which wouldn't work with the 41te ATX) the spark advance is not going to take advantage of the extra octane. With my standard '01 pcm (MTX) I got better mileage with the base fuel.

:withstupid: Also change the PCV valve and check your air filter.

Maybe someone's stealing your gas :P

Even in stop and go you should be able to get 400km easy.

Yeah that is bad..I was getting a little and i mean a little better than that and just did my plugs and wires and my milage doubled and then i did the air filter and oil change and my car gets about 650-750 per tank and i got the same size tank as you...

Strange. Maybe we're confusing "premium" and "high octane."

premium is high octane, or well higher, 93 is premium where i live, cant get anything higher then that from a gas station! ( maybe cause is from lead foot?) or where u get ur gas from? i know when i get gas @ local gas station in my town i get crappy mileage ( and they only sell 87) if i get gas a sugar creek in a few towns over where i work and get 87 i go from gettin 27MPG to 30+ ( granted i have a lead foot though! when i get 93 i dont see any change in MPG, still 30+

Also, everyone remember that in Australia they use the RON number, not RON + MON/2 like in the US. So octane numbers will be different.

if it's a dirty injector, how would you clean it? i know that "pour in gas tank" stuff is kinda looked as a spoof but is there another way? you can't just take them off and soak them lol can ya?

They have machines that hook up to your car that run cleaner through them. Or they remove them and install them into a machine that does the same thing, except it isn't spraying into the engine.
Usually it is similiar to Mopar combustion chamber cleaner, or Seafoam. But with out the injector being cycled, it really isn't going to do much just throwing them into a can to soak.
