Erik is the only one here that I have known to have done the swap. I believe there are going to be some things on the timing side that need to be changed. Don't forget about the manifolds, valve cover, plug wires too.

Plugs? You mean plug wires?
Why 2.4L cams? 2.0L work fine, if not better.

OP, I'm assuming you have cam caps too? If not, your head is junk.
Don't forget cam gears (adjustable or otherwise) and torque them to 75 or 85lb/ft (I forget which at this point).
Inner and outer timing belt covers are good idea if you live in the snow belt.
Fix it 'till it's broken. Then upgrade.

dont use 2.4 cams there small and meant for low end a dohc even the sohc ecu revs to high (i know personally my cams take a shit at 5500 on my 2.4 swap) im assuming its a 2.0 head and all going in use 2.0 cams regardless

2.0L head, 2.4L (early) head, they're all the same.
And with the low-compression setup from using stock SOHC pistons (NGC 9.3:1 pistons at that), you need all the help you can possibly get, camwise. You'll easily be at or below stock power levels AND what power you do have is going to be higher up on the tach, so you're really going to be fucked for normal driveability. But I guess it'll be a good impetus to get that turbo on there!
Fix it 'till it's broken. Then upgrade.
