Just need some opinions.

Post by COMPLX » Mon Oct 05, 2009 1:36 am

WE NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING VERY CLEAR, THESE ARE NOT FOR SALE CURRENTLY!!!!

We spent the weekend producing billet cap covers for the Neon. Both 1g 2g and SRT-4.

Billet covers to go over the Power steering cap, radiator cap, brake fluid cap. (For the 1g brake reservoir our version is a COMPLETE replacement, not just a cover)

Originally we had wanted to offer these with custom engraving and so on them but in an effort to just carry items in stock, we are going to make 2 POSSIBLY 3 styles. We may consider offering custom engraving, but it will be awhile before its a possibility.

So here is what we want to know. On each of the caps, what wording/image/logo would you like to see?

Here are some samples, keep in mind these will be anodized and available in Clear, Red, Blue, Black, and Purple. Possibly gold on a limited basis. After anodizing they will be engraved making the image or text a silver machined aluminum finish.

Any input would be great, these are going to anodizing tomorrow.

Radiator cap covers, covering the standard "stant" replacement cap.

2gn and SRT brake reservoir cap covers.

I somehow didnt get pictures of the SRT power steering cap, and the 1g brake reservoir caps, but the style is the same 5 point style.

Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Cost each will be 25 at the most, likely lower. and a set of 3 will have a good discount attached to it. Pricing is up in the air as these arent even currently for sale.

How about you get setup as a vendor before much more happens of this. It's pretty simple.

So... the same thing isn't going to happen here that happened on the other org, right?

I was really hoping that your website would come online and you would be legitimate, but that has yet to happen. I probably would have spent a good amount with you (COMPLX) to make my engine bay look great. Now, i'm nervous about it. The thread got deleted and a lot of people still have yet to receive their product.

By whole lot of people you mean 4 people are still waiting and 2 of them already have most of their order?

All I was doing was asking a question. I made it clear in the first post in bright red letters I wasnt herw to sell anything at all. When the time comes to sell, I will gladly setup as a vendor, probably on Neons.org too.

The thread on .org is locked because only paid vendors can be there.

We arent selling anything until all previous orders are taken care of.

The point of this thread is to get to a point the items can be stocked, so each order isnt custom, thus wont take forever to get to customers.

wow i wanna have a set for my srt.
even in flat style. to engrave them could be not that problem for a local mashine shop...

But i guess the best is to write on it for what they are like oil, water, steering, whatever - but in a nice style...

Hmmm - OT question: how could that be that it says that you have zero posts? strange...

I'm probably alone here in wanting them blank. Anodized or powder coated would be nice.

That should keep the cost down, I mean they are covers after all.

Billet technology offers complete replacement caps at around that price and they look sick.

I was all down for the ones on the .org I was just waiting until the 'hoopla' got solved. I still hope that you can become a vendor very soon. I would like to eventually purchase some of the items. For me, i don't really care if they say anything. I did like the oil cap from the .org that said COMPLX around it and said R/T in the middle. Everything I want to get is going to be red.

Sorry if i came off like a complete ass on my other post.

Blank FTW.

Full replacements would be way cooler though. If someone made something that replaced the POS coolant reservoir cap I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Its ok, its the internet. If WE (and yes I mean myself as well) cant act like asses on the internet then I am sure we would be much worse in person

I dont see the point in a full replacement. We could do them, its the same amount of work. You cant tell ours is just a cap.

THat site someone listed above sells em, but they are just bare aluminum for the most part. Will look good for the first week its on your car lol.

While we look forward to working with COMPLX, I am going to have to lock this. Please submit all appropriate information to become a vendor.

The members look to be very exciting about your product, just follow the proper rules and everything will be golden.
