So many neons are crapping out lately.
I'm not sure if insurance covers that. I think Nick's did...maybe. You have to PROVE that was the reason though so don't take it apart! Sorry to hear man.
but hey this might mean project time on getting a 2.4 swap in there.muahahaha.

The important question is: What kind of insurance do you have? Liability or Comp/Coll?

My insurance covered it, but the catch is are you aftermarket parts covered under your plan??
I recieved a new enging due to all my aftermarket parts were covered, now I pay an extra amount to have this...
Sorry to hear that happened to ya.. Don't feel bad, when it happened to me my dad was following me and stopped to help, his first instinct was to turn the car over to "push" the water out.... well that just made it worse... .

what do u mean by aftermarket parts..? like engine wise.. i dont have anything done to the engine besides the intake. its all oem shit in there.lol.

Re: A hydrolock story by Manny.lol.
I hear you there, but is your intake covered on your insurance, because if its not ( and your agent is a dick) then no your engine will not be covered, due to non OEM parts on the car. They will say - "well if the stock intake was on the car, your car would be working right now" (that is just an example). I would say if you have the OEM intake lying around swap it in before the adjuster sees the car and give it a try..Neon4Life wrote:NeonOn19s wrote:Neon4Life wrote:so heres how my day started..i woke up like usual at 4.30 am..left home at 5.30 am to head to to school wich is an hour drives away..ok..well part of the highway was closed on the account that a tanker truck exploded yesterday afternoon and everything was still blocked off..well we had to take a detour..well there wasnt any detour signs up..so i exit on a street and try to find my way to college..hmm everything was going ok until i saw a tsunami..yeah tahts rite like i ran into 2 feet of water and byebye went my engine..me being stupid i try to turn it on rite away..bad idea as the engine went clunck clunk knock knock..so u must assume it went dead..well daylight came and i pull into a parking lot try to do everyrhing in my power to make it crank and nothing..patton even came by to help but nothing..so in final words i hydrolocked my engine and am pretty sure im outta of a car and neon scene till probably next june.. oo and the best part yet my dad drove all the way over there and we used some pulling string/rope whatever its called and he pulled me all the 90 miles home..took us 3 hours but i just now got home..oh well guess im screwed now.
