modifying Howell's "Miss Conception" bumper

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

modifying Howell's "Miss Conception" bumper

Post by supertrick_05 » Sat Oct 15, 2005 1:51 am

Ok, I was planning on getting Howell's Miss Conception front bumper and modifying it a little. I just don't know how hard it would be to make it look good. My plans are to take out the cross bars out of the main grill (want to fill in the 4 holes where the crosses connect to the mouth), and remove the whole fog light spot. I just don't wanna get the Howell front end and have people think I have an SRT-4, even though it doesn't have the nostrils, and frankly I don't like any other front ends. I wanna be different without looking dumb. LoL! Here's a stock pic and 2 modified pics....

And yes, I do plan on putting mesh of some sort behind there to fill it out a bit. I think it looks a LOT better when you have the whole car in the picture. It kinda looks like the Xenon front end a little....

i actually like it. BTW where did you get that pic of the silver srt with no nostrils. do you have the original pic you can send me.

On a side note, i do notice that you post a hell of alot in this forum area. It seems like you are a bit undecided on what to do with your car. :)

I photochopped an SRT-4 to make the nose look like Howell's nostril-less bumper.

And nope, I am not undecided, I'm just getting ideas so I know EXACTLY what I wanna do so I don't F*** it up. I've decided on the AAR Cuda look. Just looking for fine details on how to make my car different than others....I like being unique and creative.[/img]

yawsers... a deal gone bad i suppose.

but trick's idea is pretty good... looks different than the srt-4, yet it maintains the agressive look... i'm kinda diggin it.

I basically just simplified the stock bumper a little. I like it.

For those of you who hate posers, I have a Chill Factory kit in my spare bedroom that is waiting for my bottom end parts to arrive and be installed. I hate posers too.

I know you arent the only person that believes that for some reason. However, in the short time that ive been around the neon communities i havnt seen a single person represent neons as good as Gary does. This last supertuner is a prime example of this. None of these so called "Neon/SRT" teams would have bothered or even would have come close to what he did.

Most of them are all talk and nothing to show for anything. They just want to plagerize other peoples work and sell products. Besides revitup i havnt seen another group really give anything back to the community that made them(in terms of knowledge and the like). Quickly browsing through the money oriented site $RTForums i couldnt find any other groups. Can you?
