5073045AB Multifunction Swith on National Backorder

Hey guys,

A friend of mines Neon and has no low beans, only brights. We figured out it is the multifunction switch. Well as you might know it is on National Back order with an unknown in stock date... Not good as she needs her car. Is there a workaround for this? Or anyone have one?

You could jump/splice a switched power supply to the Violet/White wire either at the MFS out, or the in car fuse box, fuses 17 and 18. That should give her low beams that she can turn on/off. Just get a switch that can handle the current of both lights. I would pull the fuse box and splice into the back side so the power is going through the fuses. 17 and 18 should already be tied together on the back input.

This should get you by until a MFS becomes available.

I am really beginning to consider using the MFS outs to power relays, and let them handle the current.

If the low beams are out it could be that the connector is melted. I had the same issue a year ago all u do is order the connector with new wiring and she should be good
