boost on stock computers
boost on stock computers
so i have been reading around and seeing alot of setups not on anything to control timing. i know the basic things for fuel and such. like you would need a map clamp, rising rate regulater, pump, injectors, an safc or something similar.... etc. i have an 02 r/t and i know that computer has too much timing for boost but for say i get another computer that is a non r/t with sentry would that work? i was just confused on how the computers pulled timing and would run boost..... i am mainly looking into building a weekend car not like a daily that gets drivin everywhere.

Nothing wrong with an RRFPR. It's just not nearly as versatile as MS. But if you make more than about 15psi, you NEED something to retard timing as well, or you'll be cleaning your expensive forged internals off the pavement in pieces.
ASP - First NGC SOHC in the 13s and the 12s. First SOHC neon over 500whp. First NGC Neon on MS.

MS> everything else.
Sorry, not saying that you will have the same headaches that I am having/ have had, BUT megasquirt is well worth the investment, I know its a lil bit on the expensive side, but after dealing with a RRFPR and timing, and blah blah blah, It just better off in the end.
Just my $.02

Yes, i personally researched this because nobody really knew. The wiring needed is the same for either car, instructions can be found on their website and seems pretty straight foreward. Although personally i'd go with crane or msd, since they can pull timing as well as launch control.2001rt32 wrote:and one other thing is the n2mb ever been wired and worked in our cars?
