I had a mechanic replace the following:

-Water pump
-Timing belt
-ATX lines (transmission to radiator hoses)
-Serpentine belt
-positive battery cable

I gave him my car @ 8:00am. I drove it away at 3:30pm. The guy did an awesome job
parts & labor....$280!!

That's a damn good deal, definitely keep that guys number. I've got a mechanic like that around here, but he does mostly hondas.

Damn! I got a $197.00 quote for a timing belt/water pump kit. That doesnt even include labor.

Even without a new tensioner it's a pretty good price. I've seen some outrageous quotes on labor for the timing belt in the past.

i used to live in tucson never found any neons around so i moved to las vegas lol jk about the moving part were did you find this mechanic south side

Good deal. My friends are going to do my T belt and stuff for $80. They also installed my tranny for $80 haha.

I'm tempted to do the cam seal because it's only like $5, but is it accessible from the timing belt area? I haven't messed with this car at all...

That's a heck of a deal. I paid 250 for parts and 250 for labor. Which was steal cheap knowing that I was getting quotes of 400 just for labor. But i did buy his srt rear bumper and sry sideskirts for 300 total
