Do you mean the 6 disc changer?

The RB1 and the 6 disc in-dash changer are pictured together in a Stratus in the '04 Dodge Accessories by Mopar catalog.

"All Mopar Radios are designed to work perfectly with your vehicle's existing electrical system and integrate seamlessly with your dash."

Considering this information, I would imagine that they would work together in a Neon. BRR or danteneon
will know for sure.

Yes, it will work. As long as the head unit has changer controls on it (which the RB1 does), it will control either the 4 or 6 disc unit.

The Neon originaly used a 4 disc changer btw.

Yep. The 4 disc and 6 disc were offered together for a year or two, then the 4 disc was dropped.

Danteneon, does the RB1 by chance have RCA pre-outs on it?

Ive got it in my car.

Yep, you are correct sir. My 2000 catalog didn't show it in there :beatstick:

no factory radio does. you need a line out converter.

never seen that rb1 radio before... is that another one that will just "plug and play" in a 03-05 Neon?

..and does it just play DVD's on that one little tiny screen, or are there outputs to add monitor(s)?

The radio can't play DVDs, only CDs or the Nav disc. The drawback to the RB1 is that if you want the NAV to work, you can't use the CD player in the unit because the NAV disc needs to be in the unit for it to work :( That's where the 6 disc changer comes in.

You can also buy an aftermarket unit that will allow you interface your MP3 player into the RB1 (through the changer connection on the radio) while the NAV is working.

awwww. I get it now... it works like the one in my wifee's 06 Caravan. Hers doesn't have an RB1, but must be an earlier form, has a CD slot, cassette and a 6 disc DVD changer.. but just has the blue-green floresant display

The slot in the radio is for the CD's... (and Nav disc)...

and the reason it says DVD on it is probably because you can add a DVD changer and control it with this radio... (or a CD changer, obviously)

notice it also has the RDS logo on the lower right which means it will display the song title and artist when listening to regular FM radio. Always liked that feature in the van

I've actually seen a couple that do, but they were in higher end unit in higher end SUV's like Caddy's and Saab's. That's why I wasn't sure if this one would since it's a higher end stock unit.
