$70 take everything you can carry out

Post by pyistazty » Wed Nov 18, 2009 1:58 am

There's a pick apart yard in Jacksonville, Florida thats doing a deal (see title) until the 22nd, for anyone that is interested if you're close. I've been there, they have a wide seleciton of vehicles, including a bit of 1gns and 2gns. Just thought i'd let all know for a decent deal.

I need to pick up a 1gn IM because i'm going to make a GB. Anything else i should look for for useful parts for my car? All i have is an intake and header so i still have a lot of work i'd like to do.

Also..noob question..what tools will i need to take the IM off?

(If this belongs elsewhere, my bad :munky2: )

If you can find some center caps for Snowflake wheels (good condition, all tabs as well), I can help you gain some of that $70 back :D

I need the front inner fenders if you can help. And maybe some of those pins that go into the upholstery above the rear seats. :)

Since it seems like this turned into a people asking for stuff, I'll move this to the FS section.

Unless you are not interested in picking up parts for people.

If this goes to the FS section, all FS rules will apply. You can PM me the info or you can insert it yourself.

Uhh, i can make a list and look for some stuff for you guys, wasn't planning on making this a FS topic or a, hey, i'm going to the junkyard who wants some shit? lol. It was more looking for advice since you guys avoided my quesitons, lol.

and the wheel question, they take all the wheels off the cars and use the OEM wheels as support and walls, and i guess they sell in shape rims elsewhere because i've never seen rims there. And tam, do you mean the fender well? as in the thing that would go between the wheel and a CAI?

Sorry, can't give you advice on the 1gn IM removal, other than there are about 10 bolts holding it to the head, vs what 5 on the 2gn. The 2gn IM bolts are 8mm heads IIRC, but IDK what the 1gn's are. I got my IM on ebay, so the hard part was done as for removal...

Just take a reasonable assortment of wrenches, sockets, a swivel joint for the sockets - can't hurt. Various extensions, etc. Hammer/vise grips/duct tape. :D

Edit: Oh yeah, that case full of cash, under the back seat, it's mine. I'll PM you my address.

I was just asking since they were small. There isn't anything around here. I didn't know everyone was going to jump on board. My bad.

It's cool man, I mean, I can keep an eye out, but the several times I've been there, all the wheels are taken off the cars and i can't remember seeing wheels to my memory.

junkyard

Post by LionheartedSXT » Wed Nov 18, 2009 5:26 pm

Hey if you actually do plan on going back or making a run for people to that junkyard, could you possibly check if they have any 2gn dashboards in like perfect condition? I would be willing to drive and meet up with you and get it from you, I just don't feel like driving up to jacksonville lol

Ok never mind. I just wanted to rub in Tampa Bay's face that we owned them 38 to 7 and we're still undefeated. Haha
