Worth it? Anyone buy these before?

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

As long as you make the lights match all the way around the car those should look pretty sweet. You might want to check if they are legal also.

I've had ebay taillights before fitment was ok on them. With these you are going to need red blubs, would be a good idea to get some LED blubs well your at it.

I bought these exact pair except pure clear. They looked awesome and everybody knew my car because I was the only one with them. However, they are illegal, but then again I never got pulled over. I got these little condom-like red bulb covers from AutoZone for my stock bulbs. They worked pretty well actually. Sweet-ass tails imo.

I know here in Ca, they are illegal unless you have a red bulb. If you get the l.e.d.'s for those tails they should look good.

your backup lights will probably turn red but other than that it will work.

in florida technically your tail lights need to "display or reflect red in color". yea, i got pulled over for tinted tails a while ago, depends on the the cop though.

Theyre illegal nearly everywhere. I actually cant think of any place where they are legal. But nowadays, it depends on if a cop really wants to waste time with it or not.

In CA, theyre illegal even with red bulbs, because they do not reflect red to the rear (just because it might look red because of the bulb, doesnt mean it reflects).

and for the guy that said it would make your backup lights red, how do you figure?

Its amazing, a few years ago people would scream about how shitty clear tail lights were on every vehicle (I know, I had them many moons ago).

Theyre not smoked, just the regular clear ones, but here is what my car use to look like with them...

Clear tails can be made legal (in many states) by simply adding something red and reflective to the rear of the vehicle (whether it be reflective tape or plastic reflectors). I had clear tails on my DSM for years and I just had a thin strip of red reflective tape on the rear fascia. It doesn't need to be on the tail lights themselves even.
