mopar rear lip

Post by Mopar00Neon » Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:32 am

Any one have one that they will measure for me?

Trying to see if the little 'notch' for the license plate and pod things is the same width as the license plate opening on my export rear, and if itll line up.

Some good straight back pics, and measurements would be awesome.

Thanks.

Thats perfect.

Alas, it does not line up as nicely as I had hoped.

It was an idea though, right? lol

Honestly it still looks damn good even though it doesn't line up perfectly.

I dunno.

What would you do? You know my car, cept whenever I loose my 100mile/day commute, its getting the R/T front and side skirts painted and installed.

I was thinking about just rolling it, or even doing the black vinyl thing between the cut outs (the rear is an export R/T rear). Then came the lip idea, but I dunno.....

The export bumpers have a larger liscence plate area than the USA ones? I didn't know that. I learn new things everyday haha.

Hm, I think it still looks really good. Go for it!

Yes because they have larger license plates, they're elongated. I kinda like it on that silver car to be wholeheartedly honest with you...but in the end it's yours.

^Good point.

To be honest though, I prefer the look of the mopar rear lip on a USA 00-02 rear bumper than an export. The liscence plate area is too close but doesn't meet the lines of the lip on the export. While the USA bumpers sits right in the middle of the lines and looks more natural.

Either way, it still looks good. :D
