that's just a push pin hole for the wiper motor harness, it only goes up under the cowl. the wires do go through the grommet that has the sunroof drain hose going through it though.. the one OB ran his battery cable through.

Ah OK. Looked like there was no grommet and I was going to have to laugh if your car burned down due to an electrical fire.

I suppose I'll go watch baby seals get clubbed now instead.

got the rear disc swap done, took all god damn day because of the on and off rain. i feel like i could have done it in 2 hours tops, minus brake bleeding. i would've gotten pics and stuff but like i said it was raining most of the day so i just wanted to get it done. i'll get some after pics i suppose....after the surface rust wears off of the rotors of course

by the way, this was a complete 1gn rear set-up. only thing i HAD to change was the e-brake brackets under the car but that was a breeze.

nah not yet, food shopping > pads/rotors right now. the ones that came with the swap are still in really good shape, not brand new by any means but they aren't that old. the calipers do need a paint job though, who knows when i'll get that done...maybe do the front/rear calipers yellow. i don't want red, everyone has red.. gold would be cool if i can find it.

G2 makes a kit in gold you could do. Glasswars did it and it's been holding up nice.

And food shopping FTW

dude that yellow reminds me of the mustang orange color like the one you did the burn out in. I like it thought it looks good buried under those black wheels.

Did you ever get a chance to throw in the CAI by AEM yet.

Thanks Smiley. yeah i put the AEM on the morning after the meet james haha.

wow, almost two months with no update... Reach and Fallout New Vegas have been keeping me unhealthily busy... along with a side of Borderlands and Forza 3.

ANYWAY... i picked up an OBX long tube. people have said that these things are nice and they're right. bolts up perfect and it clears everything with ease. i also got that vibrant O2 sensor de-fouler thing from Modern, it's been working for almost a month with no problems/lights... so far..

PIKTORZ!!
Image
Image
Image

you can see the vibrant piece in the first pic.

also grabbed some mud flaps or splash guards or whatever the hell you wanna call them. i tried to color-match them to no avail... dupli-color can kiss the fattest part of my ass. they don't really fit completely right.. meh..
Image
Image

yes.. the car is a little dirty.. and i also tried to color-match the infamous black primer fender and failed miserably... again.. dupli-color can kiss my pasty cheeks.
Image

looks like balls. i have a 2.5" I/O cat, 2.5" piping and a 2.5" fart can coming next weekish and should have all that crap on the car by the end of november hopefully.. till then..

Edit: forgot this recent engine bay pic.

small update, i got the 2.5" exhaust all welded up with the spun cat and fart can. it feels like it really smoothed out the power band a bit. i went to Custom Import Performance.... i'd just like to say, the welding and work that was done is very good, for the most part.

HOWEVER, the constant whining and complaining about using the tru-bendz kit got a little... annoying. there was also a comment from the owner of the place about my choice of "garbage" exhaust. the guy kept saying how he was a 25 year professional welder and has done this and that on all kinds of vehicles. he also thought the spun cat was a resonator...... :facepalm3:

but all ended up well, so no worries. i also switched the wires around on my MSD so now the mag intake works like stock. i originally had it only open at 5k. now it just closes from 3100 to 4900.

also paid the car off last month.....

i'm not gonna do anything else until i can get to a dyno for a good baseline before i start diving into engine internals (again). i'm also considering doing the SRT pcm/Diablo thing. ideally i want to just run some 10.5:1 .020 over (if necessary, depends on the shape of the block i source) pistons and a comp 400 and just let the NGC do it's thing with it for a while. gotta find a good steady job and an extra NGC block first tho.

edit: also removed the A/C.

Congrats on paying it off. Love what you have done to the car! Yeah performance shops have their set of assholes. Get some picts of the exhaust setup and maybe a video? Engine bay is very clean, like the cover for the small battery. And yeah, Dupli-Color fail,

wow, haven't been on here in awhile. between snow, the Durango :banghead: and being back at my old job  , i haven't had much time to update anything.

the pics/video of the exhaust set-up are coming soon, i also wired my foglights to a switch below the little drivers side vent. pics of that are coming as well. my engine bay is a fucking MESS from the winter.... white was probably a bad choice, lol. nothing a little simple green and a hose can't fix though. tomorrow i'll be installing (attempting) my 8000k HID kit (should of gotten 4300k, i know). pics of that will be up by saturday at the latest.

so i got the HID's in today. didn't take as long as i thought it would, it really is pretty self explanatory once you get started. there is a lip on the back of the projector that the HID bulbs won't go past. some have used a 3/8 drill bit to remove it, i used a dremel. whatever works.

pics.

i'll get night pics as soon as it's dark. i'm curious myself how much brighter they are than the regular projectors. i also may have to re-aim them as well.... meh, we'll see. pics of new fog light control..

off
Image

still works.... yeay..
Image

after the PT switch fail, i just decided to do this. run a power wire to pin 19 on the 20 pin gray connector behind the MFS, run a wire to the pink w/green stripe (or whatever the pos. is for the fog light fuse) wire behind the interior fuse block, run a ground, done. i wish the LED wasn't so fucking bright but what can you do... video..
Image

i still have to get the exhaust stuff up here too, i'll get it soon.

Haven't updated this in quite awhile... Well, for starters, I got a comp 400.. A pretty decent power increase... Relatively speaking, obviously I'm not setting any land speed records but I can feel the increase.. Pulls harder to red line and all the way to red line... No 5500 rpm die off. Overall satisfied. the last thing that made this much of a difference was the magnum head. so with the long tube header, 2.5" exhaust, magnum head/intake, 60mm TB and AEM CAI, it's pretty quick for what it is... Again.. Not saying i can go out and beat every car on the street.. But it is "faster"..

i also picked up an actual muffler to replace the loud, buzzy fartcan... sounds much better and looks way cooler.
Image
Image

..... Yes.... i am aware i should really get a new rear bumper, lol

bit the bullet and bought the MPx shorty antenna... A little on the pricey side for what it is... But it really is a quality piece and it looks cool.
Image

i also found this silly 1gn valve cover at the junkyard... i had to buy it, $8? shit yeah... plus it had all NEW gaskets in it! which i needed anyway.. awesome. and yeah, it's staying that way.
Image

no real plans right now... touch up the wheels, mopar badge and grill inserts but that's about it for awhile. i have to get an O2 bung welded behind my cat too.

Here's how the car sits right now..
