exhaust input

i have an 02 2.0 neon and i'm putting my exhaust on this sat. i have a srt rear end with a 24 inch glasspack and the moroso spiral flow. i wanna know in order to have the least noise or best sound show i put the glasspack 1st or the spriral flow. i will put sound clips up afterwards for people who are interested in the srt rear ends

I'd go with the spiral flow first. It's more of a muffler than the glasspack is so it should sound good.

that's a good question.... I don't know if it would make a difference. Either way the same amount of noise will be reduced, but which setup would produce a better tone quality?

I would say glasspack first, then muffler for quietest sound
and muffler first, glasspack second for the best sound

That's exactly what I was thinking, better sound with the spiral flow. The few videos I've seen with glasspacks seemed a bit quiet, and it had kind of an artificial resonated sound if that makes any sense.

ok i was thinking muffler first its just i havent seen anyone do the glass pack with moroso yet. i listen to clips and like glasspacks by themselves so i did this instead cause i love the morosos. but i will be done sat morning so i will post a sound clip or vid. not i just need to figure out the best way to cut the bumper but thanks to all

A dremel tool with a cutting wheel is the best way to cut the bumper. Just measure 3 times and cut once.

yeah i wasnt sure if i should cut a small hole and the sand the rest or what so i'm kinda of nervous i have every tool on base at my disposal

and if you screw up I have a bumper and tails. Hell the bumper is premarked on the inside for an R/T exhaust.

Let the heat of the exhaust tips cut it for you

That's what I did. The tips were touching my bumper. The driver's side tip melted the bumper a little bit. After it had melted as much as it was going to (six months later), I just removed the melted plastic area. It gives you a good layout of what to cut around. Besides, if you cut in the wrong spot, you'll melt the bumper in a different spot and end up cutting again.

Mine never even began to melt. Other ppl's insurance bought my '03/'04 R/T bumper. Problem solved.

Isn't the r/t bumper a little lower than the base model one? I would have cut mine, but it seems like it would look weird since it sits up so high.

Mine has yet to melt the bumper so far, but I don't drive more than 50 miles at a time so it may not heat up enough to melt.

ok so i welded the glass pack and the moroso together now i'm trying to put this stuff on i trying to figure out how to get the little rubber exhaust hangers of any tips?

Use spray lube, and a prybar. They can be a PITA until you get the right angle on them.

Those things are like a vagina, they'll stretch. Unless it's old and dry rotted. Either way, you should be looking for a new one.

It does, but it dries too easily, I prefer a silicone based lubricant. It stays around for a while, can take some abuse, and if you leave and come back it hasn't dried up yet. Don't use this if you are allergic to silicone!!
