I guess your a lucky one. I heard that the dc and mopar front strut bars rubbed against the stock hoods. I have a carbon fiber one so I didnt even attempt to get one. I was gonna get a vibrant one but I like the look of the p werks one. Thanks for the quick reply

I'm fairly certain they'll work just fine. I was going to put the pwerks front bar on my 04 SXT, before I decided to sell, and it looks like it'll fit.

I thought DC had both an SRT part number and a Neon part number?

Crystal: from what I understood they only made one set for the neon.
Panhead: How much clearance is needed. I have a carbon fiber hood going on so I can grind off some material in that area to make it fit nicely. Any pics????

I'm using a stock hood but I didn't grind or cut anything on the hood bracing. When I put the strut bar on, the rear of the hood sticks up maybe a 1/4in. Are you getting a SRT or non-SRT CF hood?

Its a non srt. Its carbon fiber so I dont want to chance a flex of a 1/4 in. So Ill toss the idea of getting the dc's.
Now I have cruise control will the pwerks still fit in the front?? Not sure but from the pics it seems to sit a little lower than where the cruise control vacuum cylinder sits????

Yes, DC/MP made two different bars. One for the Neon and one for the SRT.
The SRT is the only one that has any problems with a regular Neon hood. The interference is where the hood pad tabs are, not the hood itself. I don't think you would have that issuse with a CF hood, but I'm not 100% sure.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I don't think I have ever seen two different bars. I don't see the different bars offered anywhere. When I had my Mopar STB, it hit my hood on each side a little bit. I'm not sure about your carbon fiber, but on an OEM hood, you'll either have to tilt it, of cut the brace tabs that are in the way.

Here ya go, everyone
This is the regular Neon bar, it's straight across. Beautiful engine bay, Dante.

Here's another view, nice Turtle Boy.
This is the bar made for SRT-4s, it has curves on the sides.

Not saying it didn't. Just saying there are two totally different shaped bars for our cars, they're not all the same as some others have thought.

Dante's bar is not straight across as you can see in the pic. They actually look the same to me.

Don't be fooled. DC only makes bars for the SRT (based on MP) so there is a slight issue with the hood and bar. Ask anyone, its a known problem. Don't slam your hood down and your CF hood won't break.

I wont do that at all. From what I hear it pushes up the back of the hood about a 1/4 in. That could be disterous with stress cracks.
The werks bars don't look too bad. I just had a chance to get a deal on the dc ones. *sigh*
I just want to make the werks ones will fit with my car having cruise control.
Thanks for all the quick replies.

None of these will have issues with srt-4 hoods, right?
And there are two different types of bars, look at the last two pics, clearly different unless it's an optical illusion. I don't see MP as a catalog to the world, there are products they don't have.

None will have issues with the SRT-4 hoods, as they are made for the ones with hoods. Clearance won't be an issue. And Mike, I'm not really sure that the werks bars will give you problems with your cruise control box
