Manny's progress log:
FAIL = limp mode crap.
got the sensor in car idles fine but wont revv past like 2500 rpm, now im getting a P0344-CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR INTERMITTENT
did a quick search and it could be caused by the Crank sensor.. i dont know what to do now.. wich sensor to get, well im going to pop the camshaft sensor off since is the easiet and see if it appears to be ok. umm but its weird because for few minutes the car was fine and i able to do about 3 great pulls till like 5k RPM wich i then would slow down.

yeah i agree, dont bother pulling it off trying to see something. Every once in a while though you'll get oil that pushes through the sensor and gets into the connection of the plug, which is easy enough to see if you unplug it.

So... the code says Cam sensor. Why are you even bothering to look at the crank sensor? REPLACE THE CAM SENSOR, it's more than likely your issue. (that or the wiring is fucked, I'd guess) Pretty simple thing, I'd think...Neon4Life wrote:FAIL = limp mode crap.

Or do you check for a flat tire if your car won't start?

Am I allowed to say what the problem is, or am I supposed to be quiet on this?Danteneon wrote:![]()
I think Manny knows where the problem is now. You really need to give us all the facts in order to help you my friend.

That sensor sucks, it's going to fail epically in due time. Wells sensors FTL! Mine didn't even last a week.iThane wrote:i'm getting impatient here.. why isn't the car going vroom yet? just
replace the sensor. i picked mine up for ~$20 at autozone and it took
me only minutes to have the new one in.
And yes Manny, stop evading informations....

the problem is i fucking hate my car and i am so done working on it.
anyone wanna come get it for $1 your more than welcome. ahaha im just pissed off rite now cause not only do i got a P0344 code im also now throwing a P0300 code meaning multiple cylinder misfire.
& i said the think about the crank sensor even tho its a cam sensor thing because i did a quick search earlier and seen that some had the same problem and when the cam sensor didnt fix it they later found out it was because the crank sensor was bad and it was giving a cam code because they talk to each other just like the map sensor and TIP sensor. im still throwing that P1187 code.
done working on it for the day as i gotta head to work in a bit. tomorrow is another day. blah..

The Wells that I got has been in the car for almost 4 years. Not a ton of miles, maybe 10,000-15,000, 20,000 tops.LilSparkPlug wrote:That sensor sucks, it's going to fail epically in due time. That musta been one awesome bird if it spoke to you. Huh.
Anyways so y'all think I should replace the camshaft sensor.. from advance most likely as there's is $37 + tax.
Could that also be the probem with my misfiring.. ill take the plugs out again & check em. But they are new & so was my Granatelli wires. Coil pack I know works too.

You're lucky, mine lasted six days in my SXT before blowing the p0344 code. Replaced it with a BW and haven't had an issue since.racer12306 wrote:

Manny: If you're asking people to help you and they're asking questions to try and help you, evading them isn't going to get your issue solved. If you have a cut and ghetto-twisted wire, you need to solder and heat shrink it so it's connected properly. Then reset the PCM, go for a ride and see if it's fixed. If it's not, then the magnet may in fact truly be your issue.
