Nice Guys Finish Last...

Well boys and girls....

I'm gonna be a single dad. I was asked for a divorce on the 19th of December. After about 3 weeks of trying to convince her to drop her new boyfriend and come home, she's made it pretty clear that it's not gonna happen. I'll be getting papers Monday morning. She's giving me full custody of Jaid, and I'm keeping most everything (house included), she's also told me I can have the tax return, so I can pay off all the debt and get a good start for Jaid and I. Some of you know the details of all this mess, some don't, but I'd rather not get into it because it just saddens and enrages me all at the same time. Just figured I'd give all of ya'll a heads up on the old TiNKster.

While the situation royally sucks, the important part is Jaid is staying with her daddy. I have started shopping around for a new ride, something with a bit more space for her and I. leaning towards a full size truck, preferrably a diesel Ram quad cab, but I've also got my eye on a pretty sweet Magnum R/T. So we'll see, a new car won't be in the cards until after the other bills are paid off and a few home improvements are made.

Thanks guys, I'll be trying to post up some new pics of Jaid and I, I wanna go get some taken to replace the ones on the walls at home. Hopefully I'll be a bit more active on here again too.

Sorry? not really - such things happen every day. So there's no need to cry - just look forward!
(no i do not mean that cynical. i just wanna say: don't wallow in self-pity!!!)

think positive:
you have now the chance for a brandnew start with your daughter.
and i guess it should be not complicated to find a nice girl sooner or later.

be happy that you got rid of the cheating bitch.

Sure - she is Jaids mom and that makes all the things complicated.
But in summary you should never forget that WITH her you would never know if she loves you or is cheating again and again!!!

So enjoy your new life and don't forget the most important things for seperated parents:
- no stress while jaid is also in the room
- don't use jaid as a weapon (you know what i mean - psycho-war!!!)
- don't let her use jaid as a weapon (to force you to smth.)
- never forget that you loved her once
- be everytime gentle and nice to your ex.
- but don't try to play "happy family" with your ex - that will not end good

Jaid will notice how you 3 are acting with eachother and that will rule her whole life!
Kids are really sensible for such things!!!

Everything happens for a reason, and this may be the best thing for Jaid. Are you getting child support? You should considering you have full custody. Keep your head held high, and be strong for yourself...and for Jaid.
