any one wear any while any sports/work/hobby's?
My knee has been getting worse over the years, from all the slams i've taken while riding. I've been reading online, and reviews. And i think it will be a good investment for me.
This is the one i'm looking at.

I'd start with one of the "over the counter" ones that are a little less money. They do help. I generally wear one when bowling because my left me hates me.

I have both an "off the shelf" one and a custom fit one. The custom one was covered by benefits through work (mostly) and cost $1600 CAN total. It works well when I'm doing things like snowboarding and other high impact activities. The " off the shelf" one cost close to $1000 CAN. It is no less supportive, though it flexes and moves a little easier than the custom one. They both have the same issues of slowly sliding down throughout the day and need to be adjusted back to the proper place a couple times. They also take getting used to. You might find that the skin underneath gets irritated but maybe not.
My custom one has that part that sits on your shin as well...and I actually find that part to be quite uncomfortable. If I had thought about it even slightly, I would have gotten something more like this one... http://www.amazon.com/DonJoy-Legend-4pt ... B0001FASEM as the part on your shin is only the straps and would be less bulky. I'll probably look into something like this soon as I'm doing a lot of standing and walking at work and with the cold, damp weather here, am finding that my knee is very sore quite regularly.
