Coilovers installed on the 740iL!

Post by DannyBoy » Sat Jan 09, 2010 7:15 pm

Got some crappy phone pictures. I'll take some good ones once the weather behaves a little. Also 4 new tires put on as well, Bridgestone Turanza w/ serenity. Half off with my firestone discount :D

Rides AMAZING with the tires and coilovers. BTW they are nex coilovers. One of 3 companies that actually make full coilovers.

Let me know what you thank!

Ummm, just maintain it. I'm gonna need new thrust arms soon. So just take extra good care of it basically. I'm gonna lower the rear a little more soon too, than another alignment.

Thanks Fuzzy and Jeff!

And a definite no on the all black look. Most I'll do at this point is MAYBE the shadow line trim. So all the chrome trim would be flat black.

I was thinking along the lines of wheels, everything that's chrome, and tint. Not like headlight tint or anything ghey like that.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

OB: Not a fan of all black rims, I would definitely get some kind of polished lip. But I won't get wheels until these tires wear out, or I find an amazing deal.

OR I might get the stocks powder coated, but who knows.

Thanks JeffM!!!

Side view of the drop:

Also, I found a great before picture showing how the drop the coils provided. It's weird, it looks much lower in person than it does in pictures.

Question: How far do those NEX's go down? I've been thinking about picking up some for the Audi. (yes, I know, not the same)

Umm, the fronts on mine can go an inch to 2.5 inches, and the rear can go an inch to 4 inches. Rough estimate.

Audi will probably differ though.
