Didn't take the head off yet to see. But the intake mani has aluminum shards in it for some reason. I hope to be able to take the head off tuesday and see.

Got all the rewiring for the injectors and coil done today. Took the intake and the exhaust mani off the 2.4. Exh valves don't look the best, but oh well. It has a felpro intake mani gasket, and felpro exhaust gasket so someone has done some service on it. The exhaust manifold is cracked just like the 2.0 ones do, and then it was welded so I'm not using it..

Intake ports have some gunk buildup from the egr system. Wiped it all out the best I could, and ordered an EGR blockoff kit. Hopefully it and the rest of my parts are here by the weekend.

Fram's are fine. The same as any other oil filter.

I've heard horror stories of Frams coming apart, clogging the flow of oil, and killing engines. Not worth the risk in my opinion, K&N all the way.

Anyhow, found out today that the alt bracket the howto says to order on the .org is wrong. So I have to slot it to make it work.

Also found out that the stock crank pulley will not clear the oiling system, so I'm going to order an ebay one and then have to wait for it to get here.

Man I hate waiting.
