Wanna see another N/A 2.4 1gn already!

Tam, mopar ECUs aren't available for 2gns anyway, IIRC.

I'll get pics tomorrow. Vids won't come until the weekend because I'm not starting it again until all vacuum lines are ran, alt and p/s are hooked up, and the egr kit is on.

And nope, mopar only made comps for 1gn's.

I don't believe you then. And until I see vids of the car running, I shall call you either Manny or Brodie. I'm still deciding which one is a bigger failure...

I'll call him Sean, since he can't differentiate between "or" and "of."

Bored at work so I'm making myself a todo list.

Install:

Radiator
UDP
Mopar Computer (After 87 is run out)
alt and ps belts
front motor mount and solid bobble strut
reinstall drivetrain stuff.
change fluids

Put tires off dad's car on it so that I can spin them down a little bit so he can get new ones lol.

I swear every fucking plug on this car is broke. And the wiring harness on the 1gn's suck.

Had to extend the oil pressure wire to reach. Then had to use a good plug that didn't have the tab and lock broken from the 2.4 harness to replace my coil pack plug because the harness is too tight in that area and it kept plugging the plug out.

Ugh, I can relate with this feeling. Glad you had a way to fix it though.

Yea, I ended up extending the 3 wires for the coil pack too. Didn't want to, but it made things lay much better and neater.

Had to take a break, to do um... things. But no really, just changing the injectors over.

Is that rubber gasket seal busted? If so, go get another o ring dude... that shit will spray your engine bay with fuel so hard it'll be like a pornstar getting shot in the face.

It is the plastic piece above the o-ring. O-ring is still fine.

Hood wouldn't close without the bracing hitting off the valve cover. So I beat it in with a hammer...

Could have cut it out with a cutoff wheel, or done the JDM hood tilt mod.

I was pissed off. So beatijng it with a hammer was a productive way to take my anger out.

I'm gonna buy a new trans mount insert and flip it like other people do, then I'm gonna cut some of the bracing.

So I went and bought a new alt and ps belt. Somehow, I got lucky enough to get the alt belt size right the first time.

PS belt was a bit too long, at the end of adjustment. So i returned it and all they had was one 2 inches shorter. Well I tried that, but it's too short. I guess I'm gonna return that and try to get one from somewhere else.

Delete the ps. I drove fuzzys 2.4 like that and it wasn't too hard.

Well car is on the road. I drove it for about an hour tonight with no power steering. It isn't bad, but when sitting still, like turning around it tight parking lots it sucks ass. I'm gonna put a belt on it eventually.

Car runs good. It's not as fast as some people say they are on neons.org.
Not blowing the tires off it in every gear. But it runs better then the 2.0 did. Hopefully the mopar computer will make a little difference. Plus the motor has been sitting, so some running and plug wires and what not will make some difference.

Only problem right now is my tach is like jumping around for some reason. And I pulled my needle off the speedo a while back, and I have to figure out how to get it back on.

Also since noone has duplicolor bronze paint, I found a rustoleum bronze metallic like paint at walmart that i'm gonna try.

Yea but how much does that cost. And yea I will probably cam it sometime. For now I just wanted it to be drivable and fun.
And I didn't mean put the needle back on above. I meant recalibrate it. Says I'm doing 50 when I'm doing like 75.

Edit: Nevermind, got it fixed after short trip with gps.

Drove it again today. Car does seem to be running better then more I drive it. That and it was rainy today. The extra torque loves the rain. Spinning through third ftw.
