Thanks man, lol.

I'm not to big on doing visual mods, but this mod was needed. So much comfort it makes me fall asleep... But as soon as I hit a bump in the road my head bounces off the seat and wakes me up

They are the stock SRT seats, they are technically called viper-inspired seats as they are modeled off the seats found in a real Dodge Viper. The only other option for the SRT besides the Vipers is the SRS Air Bag Seats which are stock neon seats, but with the same material as the viper inspired seats

So as some of you know, my car and I decided that hitting 7800 rpms would be fun (ok ok, I admit it, I decided and the car had no say in it).

Well it was really fun and all until my one valve decided to ruin the party.. It felt like going back up with all the other valves was overrated and I could get a little bit more fuel and air into the cylinder before the piston came up... well, it stood corrected and now its stuck, bent, and toast.

Pictures.. Enjoy.

Head, 2nd cylinder.. Intake valve who was very brave and very, very, bent.
Image

Picture of Cylinder 2. This is the piston that gave the intake valve a really good time.... time and time again..
Image

This is Cylinder 1... Really don't know what the hell happened here, I noticed chunks taken out of the metal on both sides.. It also shown the same thing on the piston.. I don't have a clue but I figured what the hell, ill take a picture of it too..
Image

Well I really hope you enjoyed my pictures as much as I enjoyed going that fast and that high on the rpms.. Needless to say, my car has pretty much done it all when it comes to breaking..

Stay tuned for the next episode of "As the car breaks" (should be within the next 3-5 months).

Detonation in cylinder 1 maybe, and then the valve boo. Get a DOHC block and slap that magnum head on, and get to that shit.

Uhm, the 420a out of a mitsu (2.0 dohc na) from like 95-99, and any 1gn dohc. I think that's it that has the different pistons.

:banghead:
<<im not responsible for you braking your motor using the AFX....
I can get you a nice set of valves for that head....
Also you were probably floating the valves if you were using stock springs at that high if a rev and hence why you hit the piston...

Its all good, i'm blaming it all on the car

I'm just going to throw a magnum head (with crane cams valve springs possibly) on a new bottom end and call it a day lol

Came out of 1gn DOHC motor. Not sure of the year but yeah, pretty clean for what it was.. Also was marked on the valve cover the mileage of the motor, 80k.. Not bad
