They didn't use a special nut for the BBS wheel.

the threaded one might be too large in diameter to fit in the holes. i have run into this before.

Yeah, stock alloy style lug nuts. Steel wheel lug nuts won't work so well. It is easy to forget about the difference, if you didn't have steel wheels, or haven't run them for a while. I went with the normal stainless capped lugs and ditched the hub caps because they were broken when I bought the car.

Also, the old school plain steel lugs without the stainless caps are too short. They barely stick out enough to get a socket on them. Not that you would even consider those, but just putting the info out there.

I had forgotten that I had those on another car I had. Thought I had the stainless capped ones. I had alloys mounted, and they were telling me I needed to buy lug nuts. I was like WTF, the ones that are on there will work fine!

Man did I feel like an ass.

TRUE. I kind of forgot about that. Good point bill.

I have the stainless covers on mine so I take it they are steel lugs. They are from an 05 SXT.

Yea I just figured I would throw it in there in case you were in a crunch. I thought that they were exact replacements of what came with our cars...guess I was mistaken.

The lug nuts you have may work. Need to know what style, cone size, etc.

Or just hope on eBay, or something like that and get similar ones to OEM. The holes ought to be the same size as any other stock wheel.

12 x 1.5, if you go another "aftermarket" route. For less than $50, you could get a nice quality set, nothing special, that are brand new and hold just fine.

If they look like the second style at the bottom of that page then you should be fine. As long as they have the bulge 60* seat they will work.

First ever set of used wheels you've bought....but most likely the nicest wheels you've bought.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0371451599

I asked about enough to do the car in one sale:
If you're looking for 20 lug nuts, I can sell them to you for $20.00 plus S/H. That would be 10% off the price
That's $1 each for stock or stock appearing. They are a Mopar dealership, I bought from them before. I'm going to get a set or two at some point just to have fresh ones stashed away. $5.25 each is a lot of money.

I'm using the Gorilla lugnuts on my srt wheels, which means they should work on the bbs's.

They don't bulge out as much as the stockers, but you do get enough of the acorn on the wheel to properly seat it.
