Wow it's even worse shape paint wise than Fuzzy's 1gn. I don't like it at all. Such rigid corners, and of course ugly wheels. That exhaust is, pointing down and thats a complete fail. And why is the front higher than the rear? Is that just the way your parked? You asked for an opinoin btw, so don't get all prissy when you respond to this. I'm sure you'll make the car look better, but as MyNeonSaysHi said, it's going to take alot of TLC.

It's sitting higher in the front right now because the back seat and trunk are full of extra parts for the car. It needs painted oh well so did the neon. I like the exhaust because it's 3 in turbo back and still looks like a stock exhaust. I'm already looking into different rims because i don't like them either. Keep the comments coming guys.

Oh well? The paint on your neon was much more exceptional compared to this spirit. Ok, so it has a 3in turbo back exhaust. Yea and it was put together like some shit. The muffler IMO should be sitting at a level angle or possible tilted up a little bit. Why are you going for the "sleeper" look when in reality, it's a sleeper already. 80% of the people that are potential "races" won't look twice at your spirit. For having some much work done to it, the inside of the engine bay, looks flat out old. Is the intake supposed to be a custom AEM one? Or did they make them for a spirit?

Looks like a good project. Paint is easy to fix. At least it looks like you got a straight, rust free body to work with. Hopefully the motor is in great shape on the inside.

If you don't want to be with this thing for the long haul then get rid of it asap. Any money you put into it is like throwing the money away. Srsly.

And if you meet any TIII "enthusiast" be prepared to meet some of the dumbest, cheapest people on earth.

I'd say you know your K car people really well there!! cheep bastards. I've got a friend who's sooooooo in love with 80's Shelby cars and wheels and deals in them all day. He just get so giddy on reminding me that he fix's his car out of the Junk Yard all day when I have to order new stuff for mine!

i got to some era correct wheels for you. the 89 CS daytona rims. best looking rim of that time IMO. looks like it will be a fun car. but im with steven, god damn thats a fugly car.

My Daytona looked a LOT worse when I got it. Its gone now, but that was a fun car.

It is true, unless you want to keep it forever, get out while you can. We have spent a GOOD chunk of change on the Daytona, and caravan (also 2.5 TII...now. lol)... but we couldnt sell both of them for the same money we have put into one of them.

Otherwise, not a bad looking car. I just never could bring myself to try a TIII

^ The best TIII parts are found under the hoods of 1gn neons. I forgot to mention that you are so close to a hybrid just do it and save the TIII head as the collectors item it is

bingo lol i wasn't gonna give it away that i was gonna be doing a hybrid setup on this car. Not only for reliability but also for cam choices. I'm also gonna be looking into doing a dry sump so that the intermediate shaft won't give me any oiling problems.
