new guy from michigan tri-state area

Post by gtxtreme19 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 3:34 pm

Hey everybody im pretty new to this forum and neons but not mopars as a matter of fact just turned 24 and got my first non mopar (89 GMC s15). My first car was a 1973 Plymouth barracuda 440 with a 727 torqueflite ( roughly 750 hp build up street car) that my father and I sold to buy a pizza parlor. My first daily driven car was a 4 door Dodge shadow, then a 4x4 Dodge ram 1500, I sold that to buy a 2005 5.7 hemi GTX ram which I sold, and now have 2 2000 Dodge neons one driving and one wrecked that I bought for parts. I'm actually planning on a300 whp build of the spare motor and hopefully keeping the 3speed trans ( if I can find a good build for it). I'd like to thank everybody in advance for any help you give me.
Mike

I've already found a lot, between here and neons.org I pretty much have a great build plan minus my transmission, I haven't quite figured that out yet

Something like that but it was mine and my fathers car and its always been his dream to own a pizza place so I couldn't say no to him. As far as being close to Toledo I actually live in kunkle( look it up if you blink you passed it.)

Here are some photos of the gtx:

And a link to the cuda

As soon as I find more build photos ill post them until then check out hairydidit.com to see the custom mural on the cuda that I pained over for the sublime with custom 440 billboard graphic

I dont have any feedback here but I do on eBay look for hearseluver004

Edit:
BTW I realize I dont have enough post and what I did probably isn't allowed but I've found that 99.9% of the questions I had have already been answered and I dont want to post a bunch of fluff just so I could post in the classifieds. So im posting here I dont wanna piss off any moderators or admin so if this isn't allowed ill gladly remove it.

Welcome!

Well, we can't stop them from PM'ing you, so if they get scammed I guess they are on their own. As long as you don't start posting in other threads with links, etc. I don't think we will need to lock this. I edited your email link, but I'm sure the tab at the bottom would provide the same. This will also protect you from spam bots. ;)

As for builds parts for your 31th transmission, there is a company called Level 10 or Level Ten, not sure off hand which they use.

Alright I didn't think about the email tab guess I forgot about it. Thanks for the info on level 10 and as far as scamming I dont plan on any of that but I do understand the worry I was suckered out of 150$ on an s10 forum but I just wanna make some money back on this car I bought maybe trade for some other parts I want

It's all good. I meant the scamming part as a little humor. Just so ppl are aware you don't yet have privileges, which you basically took care of anyways.

See, you are already half way there on the post count...

Yeah I didn't even notice it, I was under the assumption there's a 100 day waiting period as well as the 40 thread count(mmm Egyptian cotton neon forum) I guess I could be wrong.
As soon as I get to an actual PC im going to upload some more pics. Of my car cause its kind of time consuming from my phone

That's pretty much all I can find, I have pics of my 78 z28 and 76 Corvette stingray and some pics of our mural and build up before the sublime on the cuda but will have to be at a PC.
BTW I do have a gallon of that ppg sublime left and a quart of hot rod flats black that will be hitting my neon this summer.
And before anyone asks 1973 Plymouth barracuda 440 (452??? bore stroked this number could be off I honestly dont remember ) 727 torqueflight 83/4 rear pushing 745hp NA and roughly same tq on an engine dyno
