I don't think you will have to machine anything for the retainer plate. It just bolts down over the bearing after it's pressed into the hub. The hole is larger than the hub itself.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

ben, just find some wheels in 5x114.3 and run adapters from 5x100 to that. you can find plenty of those style wheels in 114.3 because all the newer hondas are that bolt pattern and all type r's are as well.

to late now anthony, i went all ricer on my car. and if i got 5x114.3 iBBS RS, i would just get my dad to fill and re-drill them.

Why not call Rota and ask for a set drilled to your specs?
Or even have a wheel shop fill/re-drill a set and paint them however you want?

I don't know if rota does one-off bolt patterns.
Also you can't fill and re-drill a rota , the hub flange is not solid like it is on a BBS, before anyone says you can do it, yes you can but its not safe on a rim with a solid hub flange.

Fair enough. I know some local guys have ordered custom widths and IIRC, offsets. One of which was a set of wheels for a Merkur.
Not sure who you would contact, other than the USA distributor for Rota.

Pretty much the long and short of it is the VW guys make adaptors to go from 4x100 to 5x100 but that doesnt help us. A few off road shops say they make custom adaptors you could try that. What I decided to do was redrill the hubs and rotors. The Chrysler 4 lug hubs are junk they were too thin and over stressed the bearings. The 5 lug hubs espically the acr hubs have plenty of meat to deal with the redrilling. Mark out 4x100 and drill it between the 5x100 holes. Press in new studs and you're good to go
