Filled up the car. Damn, $3.48 a gallon for 91 octane. Oh well.

I leave the gas station and I am sitting at a light when I noticed a 99ish black Honda Civic turn out of Wal-MArt and got behind me. It was on a set of ugly rims and I noticed it had aftermarket headlights and a dual pod in my rear view mirror. Light turns green and he is behind me. It branches off to two lanes. I stay in the right lane and I hear him get on it. So I do too.... The result was Castrostrophic.(sp) Around 4 bus lengths on him. by 90.

I then slow down. A light turns green up ahead and there is like 8 cars in my lane him being the left with 3 cars. He stops next to me and I roll down my window. He said something like, "My single cam has nothing on your boost" I noticed white smoke was pouring out of the back of his car. I said, "dude, your car is smokin" He laughs and I give him a thumbsup and so does he in return. I am like

He was probably thinking I thought his car was "hot"...

Burnin oil I am guessing. Even if he had a DOHC he wouldn't of ahd a chance. Felt good to get on it for once and suck up some fresh gas on a Honduh.

He had a fart cannon and a set of chrome Altezzas as he drove by.

$3.48? HA that's how much regular is here...

I spent $3.65 for 92 octane yesterday. Cost $40 to fill up the cobalt. It was a tad depressing

If people got rid of their gay SUV's and trucks. Specifically aimed at the people that do not use the space or the offroad capabilities of the SUV and the people that drive trucks and do not use the bed either. Gas would be in less demand.

If the oil companies stopped using "environmental rules" as the excuse for not upping their refineries' capacity, the price would come down. There is no shortage of oil, just a shortage of refinery capacity and that is exactly what big oil wants.

Actually, it is so expensive to open a refinery and most of the enviromental wacko's refuse to allow any more refinery's open up! The rules and regulations on refineries are fricking stupid. Also, we have plenty of gas, and we have plenty of oil already formed into gas. It is not a matter of supply and demand, it is a matter of demand ONLY. Oil companies know that we will continue to pay the high prices for gas and buy SUV's and trunks, which suck up gas, and they will continue to pay the price for it. What we need is something that will compete with gas, at a lower cost, easier to refine, and more environmentally friendly, as well as readily available! That is the ONLY thing that will bring down gas costs. Until then, stop blaming oil companies for wanting to make moeny.

Who could blame them? If you had a product that people absolutely needed and were litterally dying to get, wouldn't you sell it as high as you could? Thought so. If not, then I tell you what, please go open a refinery and start giving me gas.

Yeah, it is very expensive to open a refinery but, with the obscene profits the oil companies are making, they have the cash to do it. It is easy (and convenient) to blame environmentalists but the truth is that there is no incentive for big oil to refine more gasoline since it would bring the price down.

Disclaimer: my father used to work at a now-closed refinery here in Indianapolis before he worked at Chrysler. It was dismantled a few years back and is now a Superfund site.

I'm so glad that nature called when it did this morning so I was awake when the earthquake happened. It was a scary feeling having the whole house move for close to a minute (good thing nothing started falling as I couldn't get up at the time!).
