The new special edition Challenger in Furious Fuchsia. Apparently they didn't think Panther Pink would sell so they "modernized" it. I can just see trophy wives with tans from a bottle and their chiwowwow's pulling up to the nail salon in the near future.

You guys have no idea how much this excites me. My car had a huge impact on bringing this color back. Believe me if you want....or don't. But here's the story, which is also in my project log.

At the Boston Auto Show in December I met the main Chrysler rep for marketing and new models, his name was Adam IIRC, very very nice guy. He had been staring at my car for a day or so trying to figure out who owned it. He knew it was Panther Pink and knew what I was going after. When I finished cleaning Brian Fox's Lexus' I went over to Lucius to move him and clean him up a bit.

Adam approached me and we chatted about my car for a bit, he said it was amazing what I had done with it, bringing an old color back and modernizing it. I told him they should bring it back, there were dealers down south painting cars this color and offering the Panther Pink to consumers who were eating it up. He loved Lucius and asked me what got me into that color, so I told him Mopar nostalgia (to keep this story on the shorter side). He told me that they had a meeting earlier that week about bringing back Panther Pink, but those who attended weren't sure it would look good on Modern cars and weren't sure people would like it. After seeing my car and the attention it grabbed from females, Adam was sold.

He told me he would make serious mention of it as soon as he got back (which was the next day, that was the ONLY full day he was there) and send pictures of my car along with the email for proof that it could be done and look good. We chatted more about other things that people wanted, including an SRT Avenger, bringing back a Neon, etc. and then we parted ways.

I believed him, but never thought I'd see it come to light....this excites me :D

An SRT Avenger is something I'd be interested in if I replace my Neon anytime soon...

The SRT wheels, just as I was told, would be a modern day Magnum500 styled wheel. :) I love them. I can't afford one, but if I could I most DEFINITELY would. If the RKD gets one I'll pose Lucius next to it :D!

So when are they going to use them? The ones they are using now are horrible :(

This is what they should look like...

These are more what a modern version should be...

The SRT version is a lot hotter the the RT. Myabe its because I dont like the polished wheels or the white stripes. It just looks mean with the darker wheels and stripes.

The new Camaro RS look good on modernized retro steel wheels. I think the Challenger would look equally good on a 17" version of the Mag 500 with a nice DEEP lip.

I like the way the wheels look on the challengers. I don't like the grey on these wheels but the all aluminum wheels are nice.

I wish he gave me more of his contact information, but he didn't. Still badass nonetheless :D I'm pleased. I like the wheels that are on there, though I agree the ones you posted are far more "retro" Dante.

Haha, Im sure the wifes will opt for the slushbox. It would be hard to drive a manual in 6" heels. Not that I know from personal experience.
