You guys have no idea how much this excites me. My car had a huge impact on bringing this color back. Believe me if you want....or don't. But here's the story, which is also in my project log.
At the Boston Auto Show in December I met the main Chrysler rep for marketing and new models, his name was Adam IIRC, very very nice guy. He had been staring at my car for a day or so trying to figure out who owned it. He knew it was Panther Pink and knew what I was going after. When I finished cleaning Brian Fox's Lexus' I went over to Lucius to move him and clean him up a bit.
Adam approached me and we chatted about my car for a bit, he said it was amazing what I had done with it, bringing an old color back and modernizing it. I told him they should bring it back, there were dealers down south painting cars this color and offering the Panther Pink to consumers who were eating it up. He loved Lucius and asked me what got me into that color, so I told him Mopar nostalgia (to keep this story on the shorter side). He told me that they had a meeting earlier that week about bringing back Panther Pink, but those who attended weren't sure it would look good on Modern cars and weren't sure people would like it. After seeing my car and the attention it grabbed from females, Adam was sold.
He told me he would make serious mention of it as soon as he got back (which was the next day, that was the ONLY full day he was there) and send pictures of my car along with the email for proof that it could be done and look good. We chatted more about other things that people wanted, including an SRT Avenger, bringing back a Neon, etc. and then we parted ways.
I believed him, but never thought I'd see it come to light....this excites me
