so, i spoke with a tuner, and saturday 23th of july i'll bring my neon to his dyno to start pulling out the actual numbers. :)

performance mods so far:
* Iceman CAI
* 60 mm TB
* Underdrive pulley
* performance exhaust header
* Megan Racing high flow cat (+O2 fix)
* Remus generic performance muffler

Plans for september:
* stainless steel piping and better performance muffler
* chip teh bish :rofl:

A fellow dutch neon owner puts down 186bhp/164whp with the same mods, so i have good hope i will get to 150whp. After installing the 60mm TB i noticed a huge leap forward performancewise, so i decided to get two dyno runs: one pre- and one post-chipping to see if it was actually worth it. I don't think i will regret it since it will be a custom written program and written by the guy who got to the numbers i mentioned earlier ;)

I will let you know how it goes!!

well.. i was expecting more power.. :P :rofl: but anyway, i went to a dyno and put my neon to the test.
Result: 120 whp / 160 wNm. not bad, i know, but i want MORE! :rofl:

The graph lines have a 13% addition for drivetrain losses to calculate bhp, but how trustworthy is that? :P no, i'm sticking to the raw data. ;)

And a short clip. I absolutely love the sound! :D Wish i had a better camera with me because my cell camera was clipping all the time :P

...and new audio setup :) In the lower cabinet it's my carPC and i've sacrificed my center blowers for an extra DIN slot for the 7" touchscreen. I only have to finish up the infrastructure for the external harddisk, GPS, bluetooth and maybe WiFi and i'm all done there. :)

it does, luckily :rofl:
The barebone pc i put in there has one 3.5mm audio jack as output and i wanted to provide my amp with a better signal. So i put a radio in between. It has rear aux-in and 3 linepairs out @ 2.5 volt. :D The model with 5 volt signal feed was a bit too expensive at this point (about $350) :P

Benefits also are that i can still listen to radiostations when i want to and play CD's. no need for extra hardware on the pc; it's kind of a snug fit now. All the wires are almost pushing everything out of my bezel as it is :rofl:

soo... haven't done much on my car lately.. have done a minor mod today though :)

BUX style clear sidemarkers installed!
Image

Huge improvement compared to the stock yellow ones, and tinted is not my style so this was the logic approach :)

Should be fairly easy, drill a hole and go go go! :rofl:

I've used sidemarkers from a peugeot from the early 2000's peugeot and fitted them in the existing hole. It's way too loose normally, i had to fill the hole up somewhat, so for a US model it's simply drill a hole about 20 mm - 3/4" and install these sidemarkers. :P

Eh, you know me, "Mr. OEM"- rather than drill holes, I'd have to get ahold of some BUX fenders. Cost prohibitive right there. :banghead:
