my friend needs help

im posting this for a really good buddy of mine i would help him but he lives in az and i moved to las vegas any help would be greatly appreciated. oh and i already told him not to use the srt injectors they will cause nothing but problems


hi all, i have a 98 dohc mtx and it threw codes 12, 31 and 43. im not worried about code 12.

the car will idle @ 1000 rpm and then drop to 500 rpms and back up tp 1000 rpms, sometimes it will just stall out at idle, i have to give it gas to keep the car from stalling out but when in gear or down shifting it does not turn off. i also have a bad exhaust leak that i am going to fix. it has a pacesetter header that is the cause of the leak. i will be swaping it out with a oem manifold and stock exhaust. there is also lack of power but was told it could be from the exhaust leak.

so far i have replaced the spark plugs, wires and coil pack, change the gas cap, reset the ecu from all codes and sea foamed the gas tank. today on my lunch break i looked to see if any of my vac line were disconected but saw none that were. i have yet to check the injectors. i have stock srt injectors i am thinking of trying to see if that would help but am undecided.

i have read what other people have done to fix the codes i threw but i still wanted to post my problems and see if i can get any new advice from you all.

please help.
