you'll need an 04 MTX computer flashed for your car, and being as 04 mtx was hydrualic and the 1st gen is cable i do not know if it will work with the o4 mtx computer, but i do not know enough about that to give a def answer..

edit: and if it did work, you would need the clutch and shifter cables as well as the pedal assembly from a 2gn 2000-01 cable tranny, the 1st gens are gonna be too short IIRC...

You will still need the oem PCM intact, regardless of which one you use, MTX or ATX. The ATX will prolly have a CEL for sure, but you could just remove the light. Your Speedo, and prolly other things will not work without the factory unit. Not sure if the mtx VSS signal will work with the ATX pcm either.

i remeber some one doing the swap but from on 02 into an 03 and having to swap psc and rewire some stuff because the pcm was sending the signal thru the wrong wire. so once rewired it was going past 4k to the stock rev limiter. but since i am using ms i will by pass any fuel cut and rev limiter set before what i want. but right not i am using the speed sensor from an 03 stratus, it is the same as the stock one just i shattered my old one. so in thery i just have to figure out the reverse light like wich is wich so that it works right.

this is all therry lol but if any one has a first gen can you take a picture of your trans(mtx) and the trans harness. so i can comparre them to the atx ones for revers light wires and also for the speed sensor wires.
