Beetle steelies on a 2gn.

Post by red2.4srt » Mon Feb 15, 2010 10:30 am

Well, since the Legacy GT mesh wheels we wanted wouldn't fit, I found a set of Beetle steel wheels for cheap and got them instead. They're 16x6.5" with a +42 offset and I mounted some 205/50R16 tires on there which should fill up the fender well without being too big like my SRT wheels. They fit great and don't rub anywhere! Now onto some pics...

She wanted them painted so I said no problem. I redid them in satin black, then put a purple lip on them for her. She loves it and it's kinda growing on me.

Thanks guys!

Crystal, those were just enough for the test fit, gonna clearcoat them soon! She's ordering purple lugs to go with it though... God I love her! Lol!

If you haven't already, remove the weight, and paint under it, then just reinstall when done. That way , you don't have a black spot when new tires are mounted.

Either remove the weight, or get them static balanced, that's what I did with my 7 spokes and drag radials.

My wife wants the same wheels for our 2gn when she starts driving it again. Satin steelies, with purple lug nuts.
