Side Molding Gunk

Post by Forest Green 2k » Tue Feb 16, 2010 5:19 pm

I was able to peel off a peice of my side molding with a blow dryer but there's still some gunk on the side that you can especially see when shes dirty. What works best to get this off? I tried WD40, a credit card, and while trying to heat it up but still can't get it all.

Thanks

Or you can try going out in the middle of the cold NY night, and scrape the frozen residue off. It may be brittle enough. Putting envelopes in the freezer has worked for me to open them when forgetting to put something in.

This was done last summer and I'm waiting till spring to get the rest off. I'm just preparing a nice list of stuff to do when it gets warmer. This winter has been brutal. It's been off the road not getting salty though. :)

I went out after dark with a bottle of goo-b-gone. It worked like a charm, but like everyone else said, elbow grease.

pfft. If I wanted to read other peep's mail, I'd just rip it open, read, shred and burn. No need to leave incriminating evidence lying around. Besides, I'd get caught putting it back. :D
