just changed camshaft position sensor, NOW rough idel HELP!

As the title says , i just changed my camshaft position sensor as i threw a code and car wouldnt run properly, so i just got it done and went to start the car NOW it idels at 1500 rpm and that not normal at all mine usually idels at about 1000 rpm what do i do ? i waited the 30 min actually an hour, its not throwing codes. please help.

I'll assume you pulled the battery to change the CPS. Take it out and drive it. Sometimes the IAC will need a little time/use to settle down after a PCM reset. (which you did by disconnecting the battery) This has happened to a few ppl when resetting the PCM. (Me included) It will idle a bit high for a while. Usually after a short drive, it will return to normal.

Edit: unless you bumped a vacuum line, that may cause a rough idle. Check all the hoses connectors etc.

you nailed it i forgot plug bckin a hose thene thats on the valve cover by the battery lol thanks

For future reference, it is spelled idle, not idel. Sorry i'm a spelling nazi. :)
