A couple of resonators or a glasspack generally work.

Search around the forum and you will find what others use.

Just watch for emissions legality since you are in CA.

I would suggest 3rd grade spelling to help your obvious distress.

As far as the cops and "extra hp" I highly doubt you're getting anything from having the SRT rear on an N/A car, so I'd dump that down to an R/T exhaust.

glasspacks are just two pipes with fiberglass stuffed between them, so no it wont help you're performance. its just going to make it quieter, and dont worry about the emissions as long as you dont change anything ahead of the cat and downstream O2 sensor then you wont mess up your emissions.

Glasspacks won't change your power, don't worry. I recommend Cherry Bomb, they're cheap and they work well, and sound deep. You can buy one for around $30, and probably have it welded in for another $40-60. It's well worth the difference in sound and in preventing issues with the cops.

i also suggest any high school english text book to go along with the glass packs, they won't help with horse power but. they will help you in being taken seariously in the future.

hey i got the same problem i got pulled over the other day for my fart cannon... but since about December i have been searching for a SRT Rear section for my 2000 neon so a glasspack would keep it quiet but still produce a good sound?

^ That's personal preference. I had a 31" glasspack in mine and it was still loud and annoying.

just get an r/t exhaust! why does everyone think that putting an srt exh on a car is going to give them the power and sound of a turbo!!!

Im with stdly on this. Go to a muffler shop and get something welded on that actually has tone and not just straight pipe, or buy an r/t exhaust!
The horsepower/torque you gain with an srt exhaust is minimal at best, if your in it for sound then an srt rear section wasn't the right choice in the first place

A lot of ppl will say it sounds good, but it only lasted less than a week on mine. (Same set up)
I put the rotted out SE muffler back on until I could do it right.

Go with a factory R/T replacement, or have a Camaro muffler welded in place. Even just the Camaro muffler was a bit loud for me, so I had a resonator welded in. The Camaros likely have a resonator with the muffler anyways.
