Will the Maddog short throw shifter work in my 00 neon? It looks like it will bolt right in. Im currently using the Booger Shift Linkage Bushings if that matters. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I've seen they all have the same shifter base and such. Maddog makes them for all year neons though.

Yes it will work.
I have an 02 srt swaped, I had it before I swapped (same shifter chassis) and the shifter worked with both sets of cables.

Yep, it will work fine.
MP SRT STS with a MPx shift knob in my 02 (I highly recomend the knob).
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

All 00-05 Neon shifter assemblies are essentially the same design except for different boots, knobs and finish on the rod.

And Dante recommends it.
Sooo, Dante, when will it be a Titanium Knob?
And notice in post 5, how the avatar and pic are very similar...
It shall be a titanium spork knob.

That is pretty funny...I didn't notice how alike they looked
Titanium is great, but it would be too light to use as a shift knob for my tastes. And the spoork would really mess my hand up

I just got mine, but it looks like the shifter is not straight. The bend of the shifter is pointing more towards driver side insteadt of middle. Does this make sence? I will post pic if neccesary....maybe thats the way its supposed to be???

Mine sorta "leans" that way as well. AFAIK it's supposed to. Other Neons I've seen have proven the same, but I'm no expert.

Yep, that's the way it's made. Once the boot is on it will look normal.

I was a bit slow there. Wasn't sure if you were going to wait on the install till you were sure.
