summer

Post by dank(r/t) » Thu Feb 25, 2010 7:47 pm

so, i know this is a dead horse that's been kicked a million times; but i really want it to be summer.

this will be my first summer with a car that i've even slightly modified, and i'm stoked. i can't wait to clay/wax/wash the car for the first time of the year, i can't wait to put the new wheels/tires on and hit that first on-ramp :) i can't wait to go to deal's gap in may, and hopefully i'll be able to fit a track day in aswell

to keep this car related, so it doesn't have to be moved, what're you excited for this coming summer; be it a mod, or a road trip, whatever.

ps, anybody who doesn't have snow right now can diaf.

Not this summer, but hopefully putting a baby in the back seat of the car for the first time. Hoping for late fall/early winter.

I washed & buffed her yesterday... Should have went straight for the clay bar though. When it is a little warmer she'll be down for a couple of days as I disassemble(bumpers, lights, mirrors, seats, interior trim, etc) clean and then reassemble her inside and out! Can't wait:D

I've been wanting to wash and wax all three vehicles; damn rain keeps coming and going though, ugh! The 160 treadwear tires like the warm roads too, can't wait for summer either!

Being able to silicone all of the weatherstripping on my car. I will admit to letting things go this winter (the accident didn't help). Also, being able to get my car inside of a garage where I can do some detailing.

I'm looking forward to my cars (especially washing them) for sure, but dresses! I'm looking forward to wearing those without feeling any cold, so much!

Ugh I hate that weatherstrip sealant...it's so gross. I'd buy new weatherstrips any day of the week before I used that goop on any part of my cars.

This spring I get to bring the car back out :) I miss it alot since it's the first winter he's been able to hibernate. With that...comes the new turbo, wheels, and all sorts of other stuff :D I'm excited!

Nah, it's not so bad, I use spray silicone... just spray some on paper towels and wipe on the rubber parts.

Use some M40 on the weatherstripping on a foam applicator pad every couple of times you wash. Problem solved. :D
