These last 24 hours...

I've had several people asking me why I said I was leaving the site last night, and figured one big happy post would be the best way to answer those questions.

First off, I'm sure you all saw a bunch of goofy ass posts by me last night. Two or three of those were me being a PITA to Frank because I was bored and he wasn't being a good friend and telling me a secret I wanted to know. The rest of them was some sort of computer glitch. Pretty sure I got some malware from a porn site (yes, I like naked girls, unlike Steven) and it was wreaking havoc on my computer. Frank thought I was being a royal bitch (didn't have a chance to go over that it wasn't me fucking around until it was too late) and he asked Jason to give me a temp ban as a "chill out you tool" type of a message. No big deal.

But it made made me think about something...

We all know what happened between BRR and Crystal a few months ago (if you don't, check this out, about halfway down the page viewtopic.php?t=47570&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30 ) Well, after that, BRR said he was stepping down as a moderator because he felt that he'd wronged her and did not deserve to be a moderator here on 2gn.org. I wholeheartedly agree with him. That was many many months ago. I knew there was a problem with the code on the board that would not allow Frank to become a Junior Admin, and figured that this same glitch was what was preventing BRR from stepping down. Also, I figured that it would take a while for Jason to have the time to fix it. I understood this and was willing to wait. After all, real life does come first.

However, last night I decided that I had been patient long enough, and asked Frank and Jason to ban my account until such time as BRR was either stripped of his powers as a moderator, or outright banned from this website. Either way he would not have power over anybody else here. My feeling was that if there was enough spare time to set up a ban for me for something I had no control over, there was certainly enough time to fix the situation previously mentioned.

So I asked for a ban that was not granted. As I have heard, Jason stayed up late last night and fixed the glitch that was prohibiting changes to the Junior Administrator status. Now, BRR is no longer a moderator here, and I decided to come back immediately, and resume trying to make 2gn a better place.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell, thanks for the concern everybody!

I know you guys are going to comment on this, but I'm going to ask you right now, please keep them civilized. I'd rather this thread not get locked because of stupidity.

Sean,

It's good to see that you do have a civilized mind and follow logic with your thoughts. I know your involvement with said situation, and I have a good indication with where you rank with mods.

Without saying my position with mods, I respect what you did and your thought process. As much as we wont admit it, you really are making 2gn a better place (so cliché, I know).
