I normally tell people to restart their computer (kills the process) and clean their temp files as that is where it will hide most of the time. Removal is fairly straightforward, check the shortcut on the desktop and delete the folder that the .exe is in. Normally Program Data in Vista/7 and Program Files if it's xp.

We have been getting tons of fake antivirus at work, Im in the IT field so the users get them all the time looking at facebook, yahoo, doing a google search. There is also XP Internet Security Antivirus, very annoying.

Unfortunately most antivurs cannot detected these.
