i got the number for fema. They gave my sister all these papers to fill out because she couldnt work for almost a week.
minimally, they can give you a low interest loan just to fix your car. after all, it is the only way you can get to work.

last night while trying to fall asleep they gave this segment on channel 7 about debris damaging cars and car insurance companies refusing to pay for the damage. They urged people who had full coverage and were refused help from their insurance companies to call the state attorney generals office and file a complaint.
florida has the highest rate of insurance fraud in the entire US so the state attorneys takes cases very seriously, especially during times like these.

there is also some good resources at this page
http://www.fldfs.com/
they also gave some details about using an arbitrator to settle the dispute between you and your insurance company. I believe if you file an appeal and they once again deny your file then you can use a third party arbitrator to review the case. I believe the cost of the arbitrator is at their expense too.
