Which black do you prefer?

Post by DroopDaddy408 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 4:43 pm

Awhile back I painted my snowflakes Gloss black with a red line(painted). I like gloss cuz of the shine. I mean to me, thats why we wash our cars, rite? To get them to shine?? But I do recognize the appeal of flat black. Back in my sportbike stuntin days that's what was in. The whole black leathers n safety gear n what not. But it's been raining lately here and when it came time to wash my car, I decided to leave the rims with the dirty film it had causing a flat black look to it. And I'm kinda liking it now. So to end my ranting I was just wondering which is most prefered and why.

Personal Preference. That's why everyone's cars are different. I wanted my wheels powdercoated flat black, and they came back gloss. The flat black would have looked good no doubt, but like you said, when you clean them, they look really good. All preference. That's why not everyone uses the same oil, tires, filters and so on.

I feel you about it being all about personal preference. I "try" not to ever let anyone influence my decisions. I just like getting people's input and weigh out the pros and cons. Actually, it was your rims that tilted the scale in having me paint mine Gloss.

really depends on the rest of the car IMO. I personally like flat colors though.

As was said before, it is a personal perference for what each person likes. I like the gloss. For me personally the more my ride shines, the better I like it. OK, maybe it is because the shinier it is the more attention Neo gets. But that is must MY preference. Whatever YOU like best, go with it.

I like wrinkle black. Gloss black looks cheap to me and flat black is over played.

What color is your car?
