installing intake manifold in car

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

installing intake manifold in car

Post by turbonick » Wed Mar 10, 2010 9:15 am

i'm swapping the car this weekend but may not have the intake manifold by saturday. if i get everything else done, is it tough to bolt the intake manifold on once the motor is in the car? im assuming since its right on the fornt, it shouldn't be hard but idk if there's stupid little things that suck about doing it that way?

The biggest PITA is the wiring. I just rerouted the starter wire so it needs not be unhooked to R & R the IM. Other than than that it isn't a big deal.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.
