Mount H.I.Ds

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

Where can i mount my hids without having to drill any hole??

I recommend you secure the ballast (drill one hole for each that should keep them in place.)

I bent the ballast holder and screw them under the two screws in the fender. It won't move in that case.

Double sided tape them to the inside of the frame apron (underneath the fender) in the engine bay.

^but will the temperature be high enough to melt or damage the tape?

My ballasts have been in this location since 2005 without issues. My foglight ballasts have been in their respective locations since 2007 without issues.

I actually had mine come off quite frequently with 3m double sided outdoor tape. They were in a warmer area though.

Yeah I never had an issue up here in little Rhody. I used the Red-back.

I have them in the same place but I used a nut and bolt with a hole that goes through the fender wall that's there from factory. Bolt fit perfect the only way I was able to access the nut was to remove the headlight and I could get a wrench in there as I tightened the bolt. I'll have to get pics of it but it's in the same place as "Lilsparkplug"'s.
