He may have to install an '03 MTX PCM to get it to work. The 41te ATX uses a different method for the speedometer. IDK if having the pinion factor corrected will take care of it or not. Prolly not, since the PCM thinks there is a total ATX failure.

don't you have to reset the computer?

i'd get with mike (tnk) as he had swapped the skunk from atx to mtx. i remember him saying something about reseting the comp... but that was a while ago and i'm old, so my memory aint that great

You would need to find one in a JY, Ebay,or the dealer. Dealer is going to cost$$$. But in any case, you will need to take the car, and the MTX pcm to the dealer, so the VIN/SKIM can be flashed, or it isn't going to start.

'03 and up use the PCM to control the ATX, so unlike the '02 and older. an MTX swap is not as easy. The easiest are the 95 through '01(domestic), since there is no TCM to worry about.
