You should be good. Im not turbo, but ive head of people pushing around 8 or so psi through an SRT turbo with them fine if they are in good shape. I wouldnt expect it to take much more abuse or boost though. Id also see what someone who as actully done it chimes in with...

I'll agree with everything you guys said above, pretty much low boost >10lbs should be safe. However if you paid 400$ for a mopar performance pt clutch, you paid too much my friend. They are like 300$ tops shipped from modern.

you might get away with more since your running a 2.0 on boost and not a 2.4, just because of the torque difference

ya im guessing so, i searched yet i did not find.
So for others looking for an answer to this, yes the pt clutch should hold boost, however in low levels, around 10-13 max

IIRC the PT clutch is the same diameter as the 2.2 turbo cars, Granted they only made 172 hp for the TII version, but I'm sure the torque came on a bit sooner. Plus IDK the total rated torque spec, but with common sense, the clutch lasted over 100K miles in the TII Daytona. (which are pigs weight wise compared to a neon.)

Exactly. Unless you're putting down over 250 HP, don't worry about it.
200 hp and the lighter neon, it should be fine.

Yeah, I understand now that it is being "skillfully tuned".
As long as it's fully engaged under boost, it should live. Just be quick, and abrupt with your shifts under power, but not sidestepping it either. Just avoid easing it out into the next gear. From a
normal start in 1st, you won't be boosting a whole lot, so that shouldn't be an issue.

The clutch will hold 270 WTQ, end of story. I know someone on neons.org that is making 250WTQ and 300HP, clutch is holding fine.

So many neons so little time.
