My encounter and confrontation with a local today. Story.

My funny situation of the day: I live in a relatively small town where most people know of each other. Anyways there are lots of younger kids with hondas that are beat up and done so improperly. They all revv and chill in ridiculous areas of town and annoy people. Well today I was in my silver ACR going out of the village and this kid revvs at me in his beat up honda del sol. I was not in the mood so I turned around and caught up to him and followed him. I didnt wanna race him but wanted him to pull over so i could talk to him because I was just annoyed and getting so disinterested in the constant retardedness basically. So I proceded to follow him and i beeped and yelled out my window to pull over. He ended up passing a bunch of cars and taking a side road. So I turned around and went a different way to where I knew he'd be coming out. Sure enough out he came and I once again got behind him and beeped and yelled for him to pull over. Pathetic I know. This was getting a little stupid and wasteful of my time. He then tried to duck into a parking lot which I still found him and he eventually pulled over on our main street because he saw people he knew. I pulled over and got out. Asked him if he was a certain someone (he is a twin, so i didnt know if it was him or his brother) He told me his name and I told him if he had a problem. Asked him why he revvs and me and told him that I had no interest in him or any of his younger faggish friends. He said he was just having fun and saying hi and that it was free world. One of the village cops drove by and I noticed so I got an idea that i'll explain in a sec. So I continued on telling him to not revv at me in either of my cars and if he wanted to fuck around with other cars in town go ahead and do so but i had no interest in racing him nor do i give a crap about his car. You like your car and ill like mine. very simple. I think he was pretty amazed I went out of my way and actually got out. But i was just fet up with the bullshit. After I drove off I found the village cop that was on patrol and asked him to be aware of this kid and his car and harrassing others. They had already knew his and name are aware and he thanked me. But I felt like venting and sharing this little story with my fellow 2gners. Hopefully the kid will knock the shit off. I told him, if he wants to say hi and feels the need give a lil beep or wave but cut the dumb immature shit.

Hey Guys. Im not trying to start shit either. So on a side note, please try to keep the flaming to a minimal. I know that in all reality I shoulda just shrugged it off but i said what the hell and did something.

Or you could just ignore it. Theres a zx3 Focus that does it all the time, his car sounds like total crap and its loud as hell. Literally open NA header loud.

I just laugh and shake my head at him and his POS Ford.

Hopefully this doesn't escalade to a bigger problem with him and his buddies vandalizing your ride due to the confrontation.

Seems like you left on a positive vibe so you should be fine.

this is one of the most ridiculous stories i have ever read on 2gn. if i lived in a small town like you describe, and someone followed me like you did, I'd have a restraining order put on you. you're lucky you weren't attacked or something.

yeah. hes just one of those kids that thinks his vtec is all big and bad. im not a honda hater if they are done nice. but i hate kids who throw a fart cannon on their shit and think they are bad ass. this has gone on for years so i figured id just have a word or two with him. He is like 3 or 4 years younger i believe. i drop out kid with no life or anything goin for him. Trust me I shake my head and tell my self stupid idiots all the time. but after a while of being patient i figured it wouldnt hurt. I think I actually handled it pretty well. Not immature about it. I didnt flip. Just calmly went up and discussed the problem/situation.

Myneonsayshi: This is why i leave my cars far up my driveway or with the cover on them so they cant be egged or something dumb.

neonpla: I hear what ur saying. It just seemed like an occurrence any time i was in the village. Kids too poor to afford a decent paint job so i dont think hes even educated enough to know what a gun is. its not that type of area. but i do understand what ur saying.

No one EVER revs at me or tires anything. And believe me, there are 1000's of ricers running around Sac.

Must have something to do with how I drive, or maybe the fact that my car doesn't look like theirs (rice). Another reason to keep a clean exterior and drive like a normal person!

If you really wanted to stay "out of their scene," you DEF wouldn't have done all that. Now they know you, etc... I used to get revved at a lot, from nice cars to ricers. Now there are universal nods from quality-built cars, and I ignore ricers.

OB: I live in upstate ny. lots of hicks who become ricers. shit man. im asian, im not even that much rice. haha. And i keep my cars clean and dont have loads of stickers like kids around here. plus i dont speed or fuck off. i drive normal speed limit or 5mph over if that.

. i think he was surprised that i even got out of the car from the look on his face and the stuttered way he talked and responded. Plus the cop was happy to tell the other officers and watch him more closely beyond what they already do.

ive seen the kid pulled over numerous times in town and passing cars when he shouldn't. the kid def needs a reality check before he kills himself or others. I agree with u silversport. not trying to fight with the kid. he tries racing some of my other friends too. its just a neverending occurrence.

It's funny you say that, I always get SRT4's doing the rev thing to me when I'm driving my R/T, then I just think to my self...Drive Low and Slow......

It's proper protocol to set at ~5500RPM for close to 15 seconds. That way they know you're saying "Hey what's up how are you good seeing you car looks good hit me up I'm out brah holler."

I did that in the 1gn, but it was more like.

"Hey whats up, how are you good seeing you. Car looks good. My head is cracking as I speak and filling the oil with antifreeze thus killing the rod bearings as I continue to rev at 5500rpm just to say hello. I'm out, might not make it home, later. Sputter Sputter Boom"

Mate you have to be careful with this sorta stuff...here in Australia its bad enough with road rage here alota mental freaks around....trust me!!!!

I was road raged by an asshole...& if my wife wasn't in the car I would have gotten out and smashed his head open if it got bad......

That guy U encountered could have been a psycho and had a gun or mates that would have kicked your ass...

I'm a decent guy pretty tough and if anyone messes with me I'll rip their head off and shit down their neck ..but I'm the first to walk away from anything...its better to do that...plus you never know ...there is always someone bigger and stronger and more mental than yourself...

so most of the time ..infact 99% of the time ...I'm walking away from anything....Just take his license plate details and report it...that's what I'd do...

I did that one time, i was in my truck and this kid next to me was trying to impress his friends in his lancer (it had a wing LOL).. I was at the light and put the trans in neutral.. I know the light very well and the turn lane's light comes on first.. So as soon as that turn light clicked green i revved it up like i was going.. Made that fucker take off at a red light.. too bad a cop wasn't around LOL
