There is no magic bottle, or 10 dollar chip on ebay that will give you noticeable horsepower.
If you want horsepower, you have to pay.

I tried it bout 7 or 8 years ago and also never saw a difference. But there more about cleaning carbon and what not out of your engine and helping ur rings seal and helping ur seals then horsepower.
I've heard really good things about Seafoam. I haven't tried it yet though. But u do have to change your oil an hour after running it. My buddy tried it an he his Saturn smoked like crazy burnin all the carbon out of the motor.

Yea adding stuff in your oil isn't going to increase hp.
I put marvel mystery oil in my cars and dad puts it in his. No hp boost lol, but it quieted down our noisy motors (Especially his with 105k on it)

Fresh valve guides will also quiet things down. After having my head refreshed at 112,000 it was much quieter. Just the exhaust guides were worn.

Naturally when you dump oil into an engine, it is going to smoke. There are about 4? ingredients in Seafoam. I don't see tham on thier site, but I will look on the can. I'm not sure what Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner has in it, but for me it seems to do a better job. It is a bit more clingy than Seafoam. I have heard the Deep Creep works better than the motor treatment.Sea Foam Motor Treatment is a unique 100% pure petroleum oil product

CO2 is just the propellant. Fuckers could have used NO, like Redi-whip does. The engine might run better while spraying it in.

With Seafoam it actually tells u on the bottle to put sum in the oil, sum in the intake while engine is running and sum in th fuel tank for your injectors.
When my buddy did his Saturn he had to change the oil twice. It made the first oil change kinda milky and was still cleaning carbon out.

seafoamsales wrote:To clean oil rings and lifters, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of oil. Sea Foam will slowly re-liquefy the old oil varnish residue that builds up on lifters and rings and prevents them from functioning normally. This process can be done as part of a pre service cleaning by adding the Sea Foam to the oil at least 30 miles before the next oil change interval. OR it can be done as a preventative maintenance process without changing the oil. You can leave Sea Foam in the oil indefinitely as long as the oil is clean. The addition of a high-detergent oil like Sea Foam may cause the oil to become dirty faster than normal as buildup oil residue and contamination are cleaned. Check the oil at regular intervals and when it gets dirty, change it.

I just don't see how it is going to lubricate your seals then, and help your rings seal properly if it is only in there for a drive to clean it is all.Thomsy wrote:Yes 1 believe 1 said that in my first post. ur supposed two run it for 1 hour and then change the oil. Longer could cause damage.
As for if ZMAX really works, re-read the first half of the thread and look at the links for your real data.

Actually it is real data. There were two links posted by swordfish cowboy. That is your proof that ZMax doesn't work.iskyfly wrote:no real data at all.darthroush wrote:look at the links for ur real data.
maybe thats the point...
Unless you quoted just the right things to make it seem like it's the Seafoam that is junk.
I'm almost certain people have done before and after teardowns when using Seafoam to prove it does work.
