help, terrible roommate

ok, i moved in with a friend of mine in the later months of 2009 for a few months in his large condo, i didn't sign any documents, we just wanted to give it a test run. after 3-4 months when his lease agreement ended we decided to both sign a lease on a smaller 2 bedroom place. the first month or so was ok, but lately has been the exact opposite.

-he got back together with his g/f who tried to send him to jail, she's the most obnoxious, loud, annoying cunt in the world; she doesn't clean her mess', she talks shit to everyone, and is in general a terrible person.

-every single night he's up till 4-5 a.m either with his loud drop-out friends watching tv way to loud, drinking, and talking way to loud, i can't sleep, i have to get up for work or class around 9:30 and i can't get a decent nights sleep.

-i didn't bring a tv, so he set his up in the living room, and he thinks that means it's his living room, he will tell people to switch the programming if he's not amused. i never spend any time in there any more.

- he doesn't clean shit. end. he leaves dirty dishes everywhere, my sink is literally inches from my dishwasher, just fucking put it in there, how hard is that.

all these reasons have been keeping me from bringing people back to the apartment, and spending really any time there myself. it's become as hassle to my personal, and work life. i'm a pretty passive person, and i like to talk things out, but he's far too bull-headed to listen to common sense. we have about 8-9 months left, and i don't know if i really can tough it out; both of our names are on the lease, is there any way i can get out of this.

i want legitimate things please, not "cum in his milk" or something stupid; i need a change, and soon.

I hate to say this but, if both of your names are on the lease, I don't think that you can get out of it. Maybe if he would agree with the landlord/management to pay the rent by himself, they might draft a new lease for the remaining months?

you'd think. but after her trying to send him to jail on a false assault charge, then conceeding and claiming she made it up, but still causing him to break probation (exhale) and he still doesn't dislike her at all, or having literally every single one of his friend (including family) desipise her not making a difference i am fearful she's gonna be around for a while.

she's the first person i have honestly wished a car crash on, her parents used to be loaded, they bought her a range rover for her 16th birthday, theeen rich daddy got a penchant for cocaine. her dad got caught a few times, and was fired, they now have a net worth below your average neon owner. but that range rover is still kicking around, 3 of it's 4 airbags are fubard, the bill for that 4k, she can't afford it, so her dumbass drives around in this thing looking like a 60's muscle car. i can't wait for the day she rolls it. call me a peice of shit, but she's the devil; she's never done any good for anybody; she's a theif, a liar, a cheat, and a whore. she's the absolute scum of this earth and doesn't deserve the air that she breaths.

The only way you can get out of the lease is to find someone else to take over it.

i had to break a lease once before (not because of a bad situation) and I just found someone to move in and take it over. They redid paperwork and I was free and clear without penalty.

You could also try to send an anonymous tip that the leasees aren't taking care of the place in the hope that they will decide to evict you?

Then you're out of the lease, and can cum in his milk and in her shampoo bottle as much as you want until you're booted and can find a better living environment.

Or, just sleep with her. Perhaps then he'll break up with her and change his shit around.

Dude. When I got trapped in a lease, I listed my personal lease (it was between two of us, like yours) on CL and I had 5-10 calls A DAY. Not all were truly "legit," but I did end up with 3 people who REALLY wanted it and one ended up taking over my lease. As for my roomie, I talked with him a bit and there was a good understanding, so I didn't stick him with a crazy bitch or anything. You can do whatever you please to this DBag that you're describing, if you wish.

but i've had a bad situation (diff from yours) where i wanted to stay in the apt and kick her bitch ass out. the leasing company had no problem with me just staying on the lease and removing her so long as i was still paying the bill. Excellent point Adam!

See if the apartments will cut a deal with you on breaking the lease, if anything else. Tell them your story and ask for help. Worked for a friend of mine who's psycho gf was giving him issues. The apts asked for like half a months rent as a fee, then it was a done deal.

I feel you man. Heres my rundown.

- Total slob. Doesnt do dishes, pizza boxes stacked sky high, cig butts all over my yard and driveway.

- Friends and random (shady) people over every night until 5am. We share some mutual friends. But why does our house have to be the "hang out" house?

- Friends spend 2 or more weeks sleeping on the couch all day then play xbox all night.

-Cut his own hair in the bathroom and does a shitty job cleaning it up.

-Eats my food or drinks my milk. MY FUCKING MILK! YOU NEVER DRINK AN AZIAN MAN'S MILK!

-Smokes pot and tells me he doesnt. I have a bad family history of the shit and he doesnt seem to understand that.

-He barrows my tools without asking then leaves them in other peoples cars.

-Never takes out the trash, gets the mail, or anything or that nature.

-And every time I ask him to do something its like Im babysitting him. I feel like Im talking to a kid and hes 2 years older then me!

I wish this was my house. Id kick him out. I even thought of buying the house from the owner just so I could.

The shady people bug me more then anything. I dont mean to brag but I have several thousands of dollars in tools, computers, camera equipment, and random electronics that I dont need stolen because he likes to bring random people over.

But I do get some payback. I have a proxy server set up in the house and I like to cut his internet to his laptop or limit bandwidth on the xbox (making it lag like crazy!) every now and then. Usually in the middle of something important. Im evil I know but dont drink my fucking milk!

Oh if you have had 3 bad rommies in a row then you will do anything with no remorse.

My last one didnt like showers....at all...ever. We worked at a car dealership together and I had two porters hold him while I took a pressure washer to him, his feet, and his "happy" area after about 3 weeks with no showers.

if it is also your flat - you both have to decide together who can come in and who has to stay out. If they would annoy me at night that i can find no sleep i would 1st tell them that it is now time to leave. If they don't i would turn the TV off and throw them out of the house. Do that a few times and they will never come back.

If your roommate tells you that you don't have that right and such - tell him the following:
If you think that you have to use 80% of the flat you have to pay 80% of the rent.

If he "forgets" to clean his dishes, clothes and whatever: Put in in a garbage bag and throw that in the basement. Tell him you threw that stinky shit away.

If he drinks you milk or eats your meat: Tune your milk with a bottle muscle relaxan. Don't forget wich bottle you modified...

Oh i have one more: Tell his mom that he is an absolutely stinky moron and that she please come to clean his room. I guess she will kick his ass...

But the most important thing is: COMMUNICATION.

Tell him your problem, tell him the consequences.

Okay, you could also show im "how it is".
He is going to bed at 5 AM? Fine - turn on music at 5.30, lock your room and leave the house.

You can also throw all his dirty laundry and dishes or his garbage on his bed.

Butthat kind of "war" is not good.....

find somebody else and get what is called a novation, which leaves you with zero responsibility after you move out. Sometimes people will just find somebody to pay the rent and might sign it over but their name would still be on paper and if they bail out and leave the state or something the landlord could go back to the original lease holder and they would legally be responsible for rent/damages...
