Jo-XL Dutch Neon progress

Post by Jo-XL » Sun Mar 28, 2010 1:00 pm

Time for a progress/project topic of my Neon. :)

I bought my Chrysler Neon in may 2009 like this:

First thing, new headlights. The stock ones were in really bad condition.
So I bought a pair of US clear/black headlights. Had to modify the wiring a bit to make them work right.

Image

After that I removed the antenna and the logo's on the trunk to give it a more "clean look"

Installed a front-up strutbrace:

Replaced the dash lights for blue LED's:

Bought an A-pillar pod holder:

Still have to install the gauges, an Mopar voltmeter and a digital clock.

Last february the car was lowered 35mm with H&R springs, and togehter with new 17" rims to car looks like this now:

Complete list of modifications:

Exterior:
clear/black US headlights
antenna removed
trunklogo's removed
Mopar OEM splash guards
17X7,5 Harry Hausen R1 Hyperblack rims with 215/40/17 Goodyear tires

Interior:
Blue dash lights
A-pillar pod-holder with Mopar voltmeter and digital clock

Engine:
Prothene motormount inserts

Suspension:
Prothane controlarm bushings
Front-up strutbrace
-35mm H&R springs
Rear short endlinks

When there are any updates I'll post them here. Still have a lot of things on my mind what I can do with my Neon. :D

I'm currently working on a Civic Type R front lip to make it fit.
Still need some US taillights, smoke 3rd brakelight and nice skirts.

What else, maybe an CAI, other exhaust, complete blue interoir lighting, replacing the stock audio speakers :)

Replaced the white interior led with a brighter blue one
Voltmeter and digital clock are installed
Removed the emblems on the side
Painted the brake calipers and rear brake drums
Installed a pair of US taillights
