That, and check the cable for any sharp bends/damage.

Remove the cable from the TB, and check the cable movement for any binding, also the TB movement. Then you can determine if it is in the cable/pedal assy, or the TB. If not the TB then remove the cable from the pedal to figure out which one is the cause.

Another thing it could be is the pivot pin on the pedal itself. The base of the gas pedal is plastic, and over time the pivot can wear the base down causing the pedal to sit at an angle. When you depress it, it can hang up and then release suddenly. I had this issue with mine.

The pedal is simple to remove and check it's condition. Two 10mm nuts and pop the cable off.

I'd check check the cable from the pedal to the TB just to make sure it's not catching or rubbing on something. The fact that the gas pedal is sticking means it's more of a mechanical problem. A bad TPS wouldn't make the throttle stick open since it's mechanical, if it was drive-by-wire then the TPS would be more likely.

I understood enough to know that you asked this question yesterday about your pedal. The other part that we don't quite get should be a seperate topic. I'm moving this into your thread from yesterday.

Sometimes mine does the same. It also does this thing where it will jerk unexpectedly upon initial acceleration.

It never did this before I added the MPx throttle body. I eventually changed the TPS and cleaned out the TB and it has seemed to have reduced the problem....though every now and then I still have a pedal that kind of sticks. :-k

I have the same issue with my gas pedal. It's not the TB or the throttle cable. The problem seems to be in the pedal assembly itself. As Danteneon said earlier, the issue seems to be the pivot point. When I have some time I'll take it off and see if there's anything that can be done to rectify the issue.

The only fix for it is to replace the pedal. That was the inspiration for me to switch to the SRT pedals.
